Got my old gaming pc listed for $350 obo and haven’t gotten a single message in a week. It’s an i7-7700, GTX 1070, 16GB RAM, Z170N Gaming 5. I actually used it as a home server for a while after upgrading my main rig.

Performance is still honestly decent for games like GTA5, RDR2, Arma 3, etc., but the thing looks old as hell. Ugly outdated case, no RGB, no SSD installed currently, nothing that makes it look appealing on fbm.

Do you guys think it’s worth throwing in a cheap SSD, rgb fans, maybe a nicer case to make it look more modern and easier to sell, or should I just part it out at this point?

P.S. The picture was taken before I cleaned the dust and managed the cables lol.

I’m trying to get into pc flipping. Yeah, I know I can’t really make a living out of it, I’m more interested in it as a hobby since I enjoy building pcs.

Long story short, I did some research on my local market and got a bit confused. I feel like I’m missing something obvious here. Could someone explain a few things?

1. Are the prices in the attached screenshots fair or not?

2. How are people finding parts that cheap? I’ve been checking both used and new parts on local FBM and ebay, trying to figure out how I could build similar setups, but there’s no way I can match their prices and still leave at least ~$100 profit**,** unless I start throwing low offers at everything. Is it just about being the first to message on good deals?

3. Do you guys primarily buy parts or prebuilts?
