Old ugly gaming PC not selling, worth upgrading looks or just part it out?

EDIT: Thanks everyone for the useful input, really appreciate this community!

Got my old gaming pc listed for $350 obo and haven’t gotten a single message in a week. It’s an i7-7700, GTX 1070, 16GB RAM, Z170N Gaming 5. I actually used it as a home server for a while after upgrading my main rig.

Performance is still honestly decent for games like GTA5, RDR2, Arma 3, etc., but the thing looks old as hell. Ugly outdated case, no RGB, no SSD installed currently, nothing that makes it look appealing on fbm.

Do you guys think it’s worth throwing in a cheap SSD, rgb fans, maybe a nicer case to make it look more modern and easier to sell, or should I just part it out at this point?

P.S. The picture was taken before I cleaned the dust and managed the cables lol.

Another Win - Free 6TB

Bought this last Sunday, guy wouldn't budge much on price at all, still surprised nobody got this before I saw it since it had been listed for over a week. I ended up paying $1100 after some unsuccessful lowball attempts lmao. Sold the 64GB Vengeance for $500 and then sold the CPU, Mobo, Case and PSU for $600 lol... (I also threw in some shitty mouse, keyboard and AIO that I had lying around but used peripherals are worthless and I mightve gotten $30 for the AIO so not really counting that) That's my $1100 back now I have 3x 2TB 980 Pros and that 4k monitor to sell. I also took that Corsair AIO out and threw it in my main build since I been wanting one with a screen but had been waiting for it to fall into my lap, worked out.

Pc Pricing Tips ?

As the title states, I listed this pc not too long ago on marketplace and had some comments on the post, saying that the pc was not upgradable nor worth the price. I listed it for $400 USD OBO ( i don't expect to get 400, from my experience ppl always haggle) A guy commented on the post saying that the pc has no upgradability and that the pc is worth $100. I call Bs on that, I believe its worth $250-350. I spent a total of $220 on the build, Is the random commenter right, am I over pricing my the pc ? where do you guys think I should list it for and should much I should expect.

specs : ryzen 7 1700x, 16gb 3200mhz ddr4, asrock ab350m, Gtx 1060 6gb, 120gb ssd (new) 2tb hdd, 650wt Psu, master cooler case, wifi/bluetooth card.

Guy messaged me and asked for a lower price but when I said it’s firm he called me a scalper and left the chat. It was a 1TB WD Blue SN5000 NVME. I listed it for $100. From what I can tell one of the cheapest 1TB NVME is around $140. This NVME I’m selling is brand new and not opened. It’s basically $40 off of retail for other NVMEs

Recommendations for a LGA1700 for budget gaming flip

Got a DDR5 (I think) LGA1700 Mobo fairly cheap, what's the sort of best base level CPU for gaming to flip?

I remember having a 12400F in my first pre-built and that seemed fine, but was a while ago now and I've been AMD for personal

3070 Ti Founders Edition, too niche for a full build flip?

I'd upgraded my PC earlier this year from a 2070 to a 3070 Ti FE and realised I needed more VRAM for what I wanted to game so bought a 3080 Ti FE two weeks ago.

I had toiled with either just selling it on its own or building a pc to flip. Id already bought a 3600x with bent pins to straighten, I had a motherboard lying around I got from family and some other parts so only really needed a GPU, RAM and a case.

Based on what I've read on this page, the target audiences for most are the RGB lovers and maybe not quite someone who appreciates my Fractal North with Noctua build.

Would I get a true representative value of the FE or should I be looking at the classic style of a GPU for build?

What else does this build need to be more appealing.

More storage? More fans? Better cooler?

Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: $120

GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 10gb: $300

MTHBD: MSI MAG B550: $87.52

RAM: 32GB DDR4-3600 G.SKILL TRIDENT Z ROYAL: $120

SSD: WD_BLACK SN7100 1TB NVME: $90

PSU: Montech CENTURY II 850W: $60

CASE: SAMA SV02: $61

COOLER: Thermaltake sx600: $10

Total: $851.52

hey guys so yesterday I said I was going to buy this gpu for around 275$ and I got it today, its a 3080ti. The guy who sold it to me told me he was a esports broadcaster or something like that for iracing and this gpu wasnt as good as the one he got. Anyways so im home to test it and plug it in, when I realize I only have a 600w psu or something around there and it doesnt have 3 pins to plug in, only 2.

The 3080ti needs 3 and it uses a lot of power, so the only way I could test it is if I bought a psu. Do you guys think I should just resell it on ebay as it is or should I buy a psu to test it?

I have a choice between buying a 9060xt 16gb for 500CAD or a 5060ti for 500cad which one should I buy that will sell better.

My PC right now;

- i5 13th gen

- 32gb 3200mhz ram

- 1tb

- 850GT watt sama psu

- Sama Case

- And some random cooler that has a display of thermals.

So far the cost of the pc is around 530 CAD, So a gpu would make it like 1000$. I want to sell for around 1400$ maybe 1500$ so which gpu should I buy?

Me and the seller are trying to negotiate on the price. What’s a good offer where I can still make money by putting in a 9070xt or 5070? I offered $800 and he turned it down.

I live by a micro center and they have good deals with Mobo, cpu and ram combos for am4 and am5. Should I take advantage of the deals and try to build my own pcs and try to flip them? I also live in an area with an abundance of rtx 3070s and 3080s like they’re all over my OfferUp and marketplace feed. Im in highschool still about to graduate and I have a job but I also want to do something on the side for a little extra cash and I really love building PCs. Any advice or opinions will help, thank you.
