How to play administrative gov?

Im trying to seize the byzantine throne and then form rome but issue is ive never played administrative before. Before getting rtp I managed to take the throne fairly easily in one lifetime but administrative government seems to make that a whole lot harder. Ive been kinda dumping all my influence into taking the throne but somehow I always get overtaken and I dont know how to fix it and when I put too much in I get hit by investment capacity that they don't seem bothered by. Im also making next to no personal gold despite anatolikon being the theme with the highest income.

I also don't know how I can put enough influence into taking the throne and ensuring that my heir gets my land after I die. Any help is really appreciated thanks.

Ive only played around 3 games with Auh but ive noticed china rarely do anything, they dont expand or face internal conflict at all. Even when I played as a vassal to china it seemed really boring and kind of tedious although that could've been me getting used to the celestial system. With all the hype id seen around auh I expected it to be really good but so far ive found it kind of eh, can someone tell me some of the the fun asian countries to play for it to be more enjoyable as china kind of put me off playing in Asia all together.

Im relatively new to ck3 but I see a lot of people saying they prefer ck2. Since its free I was thinking of getting that and buying the subscription to try it but im just wondering what actually does it change? I fully know absolutely nothing about the game so im very curious to know how different they are(if at all). Also how difficult is ck2 to get into? Ck3 wasn't too bad but since ck2 is old im aware it could be really unintuitive.

Is there any fix foe the constant desync that happen? The game is genuinely unplayable but all the fixes i see are quite old and I'm not sure they still work. It just crashes literally every minute after like 30 years of game time its getting very frustrating. Not sure it matters but ive every dlc.
