I think Deadly Melodic gave a nice twist with their werewolf design: instead of the classic wolf with humanoid torso, we see a beast that seems to have stopped midway in its transformation, stuck between the human an the animal and is in pain because of this. You can clearly see how the body is rigid and how the skin unnaturally adheres to the body frame, as if it failed to fully adapt to this new form. And obviously the face: what’s scary about this is that it’s not the classic angry-looking muzzle commonly seen in werewolves, but what is now essentially a mask of its former humanity, stretched on this elongated skull to the point of being ridden of all expression marks, giving it this uncanny and unexpressive look that somehow still conveys the agony this creature is going through.

I understand if it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but honestly I would love to see a movie with this werewolf design

What I like about this is that I can actually see it being in an Adventure Time episode without the need to be a horror parody; BFP literally took the already Nightmare Fuel elements in the series and dialed them up to eleven with this design
