Hi,
I’ve always used hair removal creams like Veet Sensitive with the small scraper to remove hair from my vulva and bikini area. This includes the outer lips (outer labia) and inner lips (inner labia).
I’m aware these creams are only meant for the bikini line, I just wanted advice on what to do next.
No matter what I do, I end up getting the cream too close to my clitoral area and it causes a chemical burn. I think it’s because everything is so close together anatomically. I usually apply it lying on my back with my legs spread wide, so it’s probably a technique issue, but because my lips/labia sit quite close together it still somehow spreads and touches my clit.
I’ve been recommended Nair Sensitive but I feel like it’ll be the exact same issue, that everything is so close that when applying it I’ll end up burning my clit again.
I used to use an electric razor but the head was too wide. I only used it on the area above (under my stomach), not on the lips/labia. I’m also scared of using small disposable razors because the same issue applies, they still feel too wide for that area and I’m worried about accidentally cutting my clit.
This has become a bigger issue now because when I get these burns, it hurts to pee and then my clit ends up feeling numb for weeks. It’s really affected intimacy and I’m worried about long term damage.
The burn has healed now, but I need to remove hair again soon and I don’t know what to do. At this point I’m actually scared to remove the hair. Trimming isn’t doing much but I don’t want hair there either.
I don’t want to do laser because I’m scared of the pain, and I know I’ll probably have to wax at some point but for peace of mind right now I’d prefer not to.
Perhaps any recommendations of products you guys use eg razors etc? I live in England, UK also.
Please don’t say wax, I’m too scared of the pain or laser. I’d really appreciate some razor recommendations or just hear what you would recommend.
