What should I get as a new rider

Getting most likely a small dual sport or a bike under 5k and 350cc and I kinda like the idea of a modular helmet that’s under $450 and some good ankle supporting boots, I was looking at some Sena helmets since they already have the comm system. But you tell me

~200lbs 5’11
58cm head wrap

How to convince family that a 300-350 is not overpowered

I posted yesterday about what bikes I should look for, but my friend, who is doing his MSF course the same time I do is getting either a R3 or MT-03 and since the course is being taught on a 350 Harley I was looking at used 250-350 bikes like CBs and others but they think I need a dual sport even though I got a mini bike and a Honda S90 (not running yet) for that my family believes they are super heavy but from sitting on them they are not very heavy

My parents want a travel trailer they can tow with their 22 Ram 1500 V8 with Air suspension, but my dad is 6’ 7” and so it needs to be 80+” and preferably a toy hauler (for a golf cart) OR a shorter length regular trailer with a separated bedroom from the kitchen or bathroom between, he’s particular

Looking under 350cc’s 16 going to take the riders course to get my class M (150+) I got hilly country (luckily not gravel anymore) Roads my family suggested a XR150L and that’s what I have been looking into (Honda dealer in town) but I also have a triumph/Kawasaki/royal enfield dealer less than a hour from there, my family wants me to get something small so I don’t go to fast but with 25 degree hills every time I got to town with people going 70 I think I might need something more than a 150cc and under 5000k
