Apple maps never works

Hello all. (Screenshots doing the same search in Apple maps vs Google maps)

In most info on the internet people say that Google Maps doesn’t work in China (it doesn’t because it hasn’t been updated in years and everything is 200 meter away from the actual location), and to use Apple Maps instead but when you actually go and try to find something in Apple Maps it’s way worse than Google Maps.

I’ve notice that if you don’t write the exact name of the place most of the times it sends you to a random place, or if it’s not a well known place it finds some similarly named place in China, even with famous places Apple Maps can’t find them, what a joke. But Google Maps never fails to find the place, you can find all the places even if it’s a small village in the middle of the mountains, but with Apple maps, good luck. Google maps can be 200 meters away but at least you have an idea of where the place actually is and that it exists at all.

Try to search for the famous Daci Temple in Chengdu. Apple Maps says “no matching places found”

Screenshots trying to do the same search in both.

Posts about Au Pair in China illegal

I have seen many posts about doing Au Pair in China and about the legality or illegality of it.

The main reason being that you cannot work with tourist or student visa.

My question is, if you go to China in a culture exchange, and stay with a family at their home for free, they don’t pay you anything (literally there are no transactions at all), but you teach someone your language, is this a thing that can be done with no problems?
