Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some honest opinions about The Y (Holland2Stay) in The Hague.

How is the overall experience (management, maintenance, noise, safety...)? Would you recommend it?

Also, I’m in a bit of a tricky situation. I’ve managed to secure a place there but I’m currently under 18 and the application system only allows me to proceed by stating I’m over 18. I’ve already contacted them to clarify but I’m still waiting to hear back. Has anyone dealt with something similar or know how strict they are about this?

I have about 24 hours left to complete the booking and do the payment, so any advice or experiences would really help.

Thanks in advance!

I’m looking for companies that offer student housing (in The Hague) that allow minors. I’ll be 17 in September but only turn 18 in December, so I would still be a minor when signing my lease.

I’m aware I basically have 0 options with private landlords because of my age, so I’m mainly looking at student housing companies or larger providers. So far, I’ve only found Xior and The Social Hub but both don´t have anything available starting this summer...

Does anyone know of other options or companies that accept under-18 students (or allow contracts to be signed before turning 18)?

Any advice as a minor renting would be really appreciated :)

Hey everyone,

I just got accepted to study in The Hague but I only recently registered on platforms like ROOM.nl, Pararius and Kamernet so realistically I have almost zero chances there... Since Leiden wasn't my first choice I also never contacted uni assistance (now its full)

My budget is not really the issue as I’d be willing to overpay a bit if it means actually securing a place before summer...

I’ve already looked into places like The Social Hub and Xior but there’s basically never any availability.

Do you have any recommendations for other student residences (even expensive ones) and agencies / platforms that actually work for internationals (aka. not scams??)

Any tips or experiences would be hugely appreciated :(
