at like 11pm last night I (M19) was laying in bed and my gf (F21) of 10 months asked me if I had to pick between her, my mom and our children that we don’t actually have who would I pick. I said it would be hard but I would choose my mom and the kids over her. she got mad and said she understands choosing the kids over her but she should take priority over my mom. she then says who would I pick between her and my bestfriend (because I spend a lot of time with him ig) and I chose my bestfriend because i’ve been with him since I was 17.
She got all hissy with me and said that people should always put their partners first over other people. I was sleepy and at this point i was just like okay you’re being ridiculous you just want an argument.
I tried to go to sleep but she just dragged it out saying that’s part of a relationship and kept asking me why i would pick my bsf and even my mom over her. I replied with because he’s been with me for longer weve done more stuff together than even me and you have etc. and my mom is literally my mom i’m bound to choose her. I said she’s crazy making an issue out of nowhere to which she really didnt like and she got angrier, i just went to sleep because i have stuff going on today and had been up since like 5:30 in the morning.
Am I the asshole for telling her honestly the answer to her question
