Just curious if there's any local groups. Probably all through Airheads Beemers Club I'm guessing. Just brought home my first airhead, a '79 R65. She's in really good shape and I'm nerding out on YT trying to get a few things dialed in. Would love to meet up with others and get some advice and gain experience first hand.

Grabbed this beauty today from a seller 25 mins away. Super excited. Super clean bike, runs great with excellent history. Was a CA bike most of its life. Seller has a cool fairing included as well.
Going to do all the oils and air filter right off the bat to have my own starting point.
Question: I’m seeing some 79 air filters are the common cylinder style, but some talk of one year bikes with the rectangle filter but no plastic air box? Anyone know for sure what air filter I would order? I’d like to order the filter before opening it.
