I finally got a Personal Gem offer that is *not* the AMX 13 57 GF... would you buy it?

Hi folks,

So I finally got a decent tank for a Personal Gem offer.
I would have been all over this like a fat kid on a cupcake a few months ago when I had no premium medium tanks, however now I have the Stridsyxa, Obj.274a, 122 TM and T42.
The only Polish medium TT tank I have unlocked is the tier V DS PZInz so it has no use as a trainer.

6900 gold is still a pretty good price for a premium and I have Xmas gold left. Would you buy it?

My main concern is its credit earning capability. The standard ammo is abysmal and I feel that all of the reviews highly praising the LIS take it for granted that you're running gold ammo.
If I want to run around with a 100% gold loadout I already have the T42.

Any advice is appreciated - thanks in advance!

Wargaming: Will you ever do anything about this, or is this your *intended* low-tier gameplay?

I can think of at least three ways that this could easily be remedied with a few keypresses.
The most obvious would be to make anything with bots below tier VI not count towards stats.

I've dragged several new players into WoT and this is the gameplay that greets them. The last one quit after a string of being farmed by stat-padding sealclubbers and leFHs and asked me why anyone would play this toxic game.

On one hand people complain that giving new players free tier X unlocks is responsible for the state of high tier MM. Well, this is their alternative.

Can we actually get a Wargaming rep's response as to whether this is WG's intended state of low-tier gameplay?

How does expected/average WN8 of a tank correlate with your player stats?

Hi folks,
Quick question regarding stats:

The Bourrasque has an 1805 WN8 (expected? average?)
The Guard has a 1108 WN8

Does this mean that if for example I have a 2000 damage game then I would have a significantly higher WN8/WTR/etc rating if I did it in a Guard compared to a Bourrasque?

So if I average 2000 damage games my stats will be higher if I do it in a tank with a low expected WN8 like the Obj.274a or Guard than in a meta tank like the Borat, ShPTK, etc?

I also notice that some light tanks have very low expected WN8s. I had a so-so game the other day in an HWK 30 and IIRC I had only around 1800 dmg but was purple. Is this because spotting damage isn't really counted, so actually doing damage boosts your stats significantly?

Thanks in advance for any help!

What are your Comfort movies?

Your movie version of Macaroni and Cheese (or whatever floats your boat)?

For mine, I'd have to say Tremors, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
No matter how many times I've seen them I'll always watch them again, they fill me with nostalgia and transport me back to my childhood when I'd watch them on VHS (EP mode baby).

Can someone explain the VE day mission progression to me plz?

https://preview.redd.it/79n5wu71r00h1.jpg?width=1608&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88578f5e8ecabcd2796ca918a612286c80398556

So how do I progress further? Do some of the missions refresh daily, or on the 10th and 12th?

Also I've just had 3 victories where I was by far the top XP earned and it didn't count for the "Choose the hardest path" mission - what gives?
Choose the hardest path has to be using a tier IV-XI belonging to an Allied faction (UK, USA, USSR, China, Poland, France, Czech).

Thanks in advance.

You would think this would be a basic, automatic feature but I can't even figure out how to set it up because I am a potato.

At night I'll give it voice commands that are almost a whisper to avoid waking anyone up, and she'll respond at full volume "OOOKAAAY".
Basically I'd just like to set it up so that her response volume is at something like 10-20% between midnight and 9am.

Thanks for any help!

***EDIT***
For anyone with the same issue: just say "Alexa turn on Whisper Mode".
Strange that this isn't enabled by default, would seem pretty intuitive. This is IMHO better than setting a routine to turn down volume at night since that would also turn down the volume of alarm notifications like water leak events, etc. which you typically want to wake you.

My stats for the last week are absolutely abysmal.
Sure I have bad games now and then, but on average I'm doing at least my own hp in dmg per game so while I'm certainly not carrying games I don't feel like I'm throwing them for my team either. I usually play mediums or TDs and I never camp.

My session WTR rating is usually around 5500-6000 (however the hell that is calculated), but these abysmal sessions are dragging down my win rate -- it used to be at 50.x% and it's currently at 46%. I only have 1000 games played, and people keep saying these losing streaks will 'even out eventually', but at this rate it is only going down. I can't remember ever having a 10 game win streak but I've had several 10 game losing streaks.

It's incredibly frustrating. I always play for the objective/team, I try to play intelligently and neither throw my hp away or be full health at the end of the match, but I just feel totally helpless in many games. I'm not a superunicum but I am map aware enough to be able to have a good idea just by where people are going in the first minute of the game whether it's going to be a loss or not.
What can I do when heavies don't go to the heavy flank or are sniping from the redline, lights don't spot or YOLO 20 seconds into the match, and/or the lemming train all goes in one direction? Or I'm doing my job holding a flank and all of a sudden I'm getting shot in the ass by someone in direct LOS of three of my TD teammates who are just sitting there watching?
And this would be OK if it happened half the time on my team, half the time on the enemy team but it feels like I'm getting this almost every single game.

Does anybody have any advice? Because the game is just frustration for me at this point.

It's just a minor bug but it is annoying to have to go into settings every time and set it to Fullscreen mode. It happens about 1 out of 3 times I start the game.

Does anyone know a fix or workaround?

Hi everyone,

How difficult is progression in Frontline? I've never tried it.
I was just looking at the rewards and I wouldn't mind getting a couple of pieces of experimental equipment, but not if it's going to take me days of grinding. I'm an average player on a good day.

Thanks in advance for any info or advice!
