Could we breed a 10 feet tall human being?
Think about it. Tallest man ever was 8'11 (Robert Wadlow). If we currently take the two tallest males and females (8'3 and 7'1), we would likely get a male/female between 7 and 8 feet. Over many generations, could we theoretically create someone 10 feet tall?
Is late sophomore year too late to prep for T20's in the USA?
For context, I am an international student going to an international school in Singapore. I am finishing 10th grade now and have IGCSE's in May. I will likely get very good grades in my IGCSE's and A levels as academics is my strong suit, but my ECA profile is kinda bad rn... I just want to know if end of sophomore year is enough time to develop and improve my EC's to hopefully get into a US T20. Please be completely honest with me. Here is my starting points in EC's tho.
I want to study Engineering.
EC'S:
Chess player - 1600 elo online, part of Singapore Chess Federation's High Performance Intermediate Chess Squad (less impressive than it sounds, literal 6 yr olds in my squad. But, can I make it sound grander than it is or is that lying???)
Math competitions - Done SASMO(Gold), Pascal (Distinction, best in school, honour roll), UKMT IMC(Gold), UKMT SMC(Gold), Bebras (Gold). Will probably add more awards to this pile pretty soon.
Capstone Project (NOT DONE YET, CURRENTLY BUILDING) - Building an innovative engineering product to solve a common problem, will likely get it in local news and hopefully sell it on the market.
AWARDS:
- Bunch of math competitions
SAT:
Will likely get >1550
So yeah, thats basically it. This is my starting point, and I am already at the end of junior year. I feel as if it is too late for me to prepare and get more EC's for a T20(as an international applicant). Do I have enough time, or is it too late? Please be honest(once again lol) reddit!
