Hi Reddit!

I just want to share a small win today. So I downloaded my most recent Transunion credit report and I'm happy na naglevel up na kahit konti ang credit score ko. As the title says, my risk grade went from high risk to medium risk (HH to EE). I know it's slow but i'm just happy na may improvement na.

The goal is to become part of the very low risk grade (AA or BB) in the future. I just fulfilled my basic needs for several years. No yearly phone upgrade. No new laptop. No new clothes or shoes. No travel. No new car. No unnecessary gala. No daily starbucks. May konting online shopping but pag may sobra lang talaga. Sobrang dami ko din talaga natutunan and I will never ever let myself drown in debt again.

I got recently approved sa Chinabank and Eastwest (always declined before) tapos may pre-approved pa from UB.

Anyway, malayo pa ko sa AA or BB risk grade na goal but I'm happy na my progress kahit paano.

It will take time (could be years) but we will become debt free eventually. Labang lang!

Hi Reddit!

BDO recently offered me to upgrade my Shopmore to Gold Mastercard. I only use my BDO Shopmore sa grocery lang (mostly sa robinsons since sya ang pinakamalapit) and sometimes to pay our internet sa bahay tapos one time ginamit ko din to book for an international flight at additional baggage.

  1. May ceiling limit ba ang Shopmore? Halimbawa, hanggang 100k lang ang limit na pwede sa Shopmore tapos need na magupgrade ng card to get a higher CL.

  2. Dun sa mga nag-upgrade na, is it worth it?

  3. Tataas ba ang CL ko if I upgrade?

  4. I know mas mataas ang AF ng Gold, madali ba magpa-waive?

  5. Can I request for a different card kung sakali?

  6. Maapektuhan ba ko if di ko iuupgrade yung card ko?

Recently lang, they offered me additional CC na JCB Gold tapos shared limit. Kinuha ko lang kahit di ako pala-travel since free for the 1st year naman ang AF. I'm planning to cancel the JCB din before mag1 year kase ayoko macharge ng AF.

Anyway, I would appreciate your insights regarding Shopmore to Gold upgrade. Thank you!

Hi Reddit!

Did your GLoan also disappear or maybe it's just mine?

I used to have a 100k GLoan limit. I borrowed 33k last month lang and now it's gone. I still have GGives and GCredit as of now. I have some utilization sa GGives pero wala sa GCredit. I've never been late nor missed a payment ever. Inalagaan ko talaga ang GCash ko. Yung 1st payment out of 12 months na hiniram ko is next month pa naman ang due. Currently, my credit score with GCash is 706.

Could this have something to do with the current issue na inutusan na maghigpit ang mga banks sa pagpapahiram? I know GCash is not a bank but I'm just wondering if it's also affected.

1st time ko mawalan ng GLoan after years of having it.

I like it coz it's easier and faster to borrow compared to if i use credit to cash sa CC na days or weeks bago madisburse.

Or maybe it's just me who lost it? Mababalik pa kaya? 😓

Hi Reddit!

I've been seeing a lot of posts about annual fees kaya napa-check ako nung saken.

My Shopmore MC was replaced on Sep 2025 kase expired na. Lol 😆

Meron ba dito nagupgrade from Shopmore MC to Gold MC.

I checked the monthly statement from that month until now pero wala din nachacharge na AF.

Does it mean NAFFL na yung card ko? Ayoko itawag kase baka mamaya, makita nila at lagyan ng AF or monthly fee ulit. Kung may glitch man or hindi nila tinag yung account ko ng tama eh hahayaan ko na lang. Lol 😆

Meron ba ditong same din or maybe may idea why this is?
