I saw a comedy short on YouTube and I don't feel good.

I was scrolling through YouTube when I saw a comedy short (not snl) on people without jobs/people who stay at home for whatever reason, and the basic 'laugh at this' topic was that parents are ashamed of people who don't have jobs and they should hide out of sight, and I don't feel good about it. It feels like my eyes and stomach are going to explode.

I know that lots of people, especially therapy people, say things like 'you're still valuable if you've achieved nothing!' but the fact that comedy shorts like that are made and laughed at...just feels like there's actually a secret message in the world, of 'lol you're actually useless and no one cares if you live or die.'

I really don't feel good.

*edit: are you guys laughing at me now????

Why do the most 'popular' religions only have one god?

Just what it says on the tin! (Using lowercase g because I'm talking about multiple gods) (I'm seriously curious)

According to Wikipedia, the most popular religion is Christianity (28.8%), the next is Islam (25.6%), unaffiliated (24.2%) in the middle, then Hinduism (14.9%) and Buddhism (4.10%.) Why do the two most popular religions only have one god? We could have had a religion with 5 gods, 3 gods, or 10 gods. Or Hinduism and Buddhism could have been the first and second. So why? Is monotheism just easier to spread?

How do you use question marks and exclamation marks with parenthesis?

(English is my second language.)

Is it like

  1. $2 a piece (no refunds without receipt and bag!)

or

  1. $2 a piece (no refunds without receipt and bag)!

Or something else?

In this country, we don't have Mother's Day, just Parents' Day, which is today! But we moved two days ago to a totally new city so we were in quite a busy situation. Also I am recovering from bullying trauma, anxiety, and depression (although I don't think it matters in this situation, I think I need to explain myself.)

So today, I totally forgot Parents' Day! My mother also just realized herself. Now, I have no problem giving her a card. I did it ever since I could write. But when she told me it was Parents' Day, I felt like she was saying it in a very condescending way, as if I'd be sent to hellfire (my mother is Christian) for forgetting an anniversary. So I told her how I felt, and how I never nagged her for a birthday or Christmas present. (During the talk, I accidentally used a very bad slur (I said she talked to me like I was some bitch) and apologized for that.) I also said I was annoyed at how I was always made to be the bad guy, but her forgetting was always a Mistake.

At that point, my emotions ran quite high, and I broke into tears. She laughed and said I was overreacting.

I cried like that for some time, then when I calmed down I asked her to apologize again. She laughed again, but in the end she did. She also said I didn't need to write a card if I felt like I didn't need to.

and I don't feel like I need to! She fed me and all but I get all of my emotional support online. She beat me multiple times and monitored what I was watching so much that I made a code for myself to use. So if I take her words literally, I don't feel like I need to. But she's known for sarcastic comments left right and center, so she might be guilting me into giving her a card...should I give her one? Am I being biased?
