Shit sleep but labs are normal

I started waking up between 3 and 4am when I turned 39. Now at 40, I've managed to push that to around 5am, but I often toss and turn all night especially leading up to my period.

I even got an in-clinic sleep study, where they discovered I don't have sleep apnea, but I have very little rem and wake up a ton during the night. I also recently got iron infusions, but my sleep has not improved.

My doctor tested my hormones and of course they are normal. She told me it's not perimenopause.

I know symptoms are more reliable than labs. Am I crazy to think this could be perimenopause-related? Anyone else farther along this journey than I am who can now look back and pinpoint sleep issues as your first symptom?

*of note: I am already on progesterone and have been since my early-30s.

Last year, my thyroid went haywire, and I gained 30lbs while figuring out the medication issue. My meds are working again, and my weight has stayed constant, but I can't lose the weight I gained last year.

I'm considering going on a microdose glp1 to kickstart the weight loss and then go off it once I get back to my regular weight. I keep reading about weight gain after stopping these drugs.

Anyone in a similar situation manage to stop glp1s and not gain much weight back?

I'm looking for a local sleep medicine provider who can help me interpret a sleep study and also offer advice beyond a CPAP. I do not have sleep apnea, but do have very fragmented sleep. It seems like a lot of providers only focus on breathing issues. If you've worked with anyone you think would be a good fit, please let me know.
