Strange UFO sighting from when I was little
I was 10/11 in the backseat of the car. We were driving back home and it was nighttime.
I remember we were very close to our house and we were on a rocky road when suddenly a giant orange orb appeared out of thin air and hovered right above our car.
I was frantically telling my mother to look at the orb, but for some reason she didn’t fully see it. She told me she caught a brief glimpse of it as it was “ending.”
The orb disappeared almost instantly, and when I turned my head to look again, it was gone.
We don’t have any light poles on that road or anything else that could have made this ball of light appear so close to the car.
I started reading online to see if other people had seen the same thing, and I came across a Facebook post that described exactly what I saw:
“Witnesses across different countries and decades describe the same characteristics: silent movement, smooth motion, and no visible wings or exhaust. Often the orbs appear alone, but in some cases they travel in groups, just like those seen in this footage.
What makes orb sightings stand out is their behavior. They frequently hover, drift, or change direction without sharp turns or visible propulsion. Some reports describe them merging, separating, or suddenly fading out. These traits differ from planes, helicopters, or most drones, which follow predictable flight paths and emit sound.”
I still don’t know what it could have been, but I think it’s an interesting story to share whether or not it was actually something alien-related.
