Feeling isolated in my motherhood experience.
I’m a 28 FTM and SAHM to identical twin girls. I love them with all of my heart. While I am grateful to have them, I feel so alone. My husband and I moved to Charlotte, NC when I was 7 weeks pregnant and I felt like I haven’t really gotten a chance to make friends. Add on twins and it’s just another ballpark. My psychiatrist put me in a mother’s group but they’re all singleton parents and really all they give me is “wow that’s a lot” and “I could never.”
Now my girls are 4.5 months old and add little sleep at night and being with them 24/7 (my husband works 12 hr days and tries to catch up on sleep on the weekends) I feel like I will never get the beautiful “first time mom” moments. I have a hard time even getting the girls out of the house. I just wish I had a community out here. I wish I knew more first time moms who are also twin moms. I wish I had people to go on “mom walks”
