Is that the chain slapping when I turn off the car?

I noticed every time I turn off the car it makes this weird sound. I already have timing chain kit coming in, but I might not drive it until I get it in and fix it.

I want to do the timing chain on my car it has 177K on it

It hasn’t failed yet, but I’m definitely testing the limit limits at this mileage I found a shop that can do it for $1700 I have done the water pump, myself fuel injectors oil cooler assembly and a couple other things so I’m pretty familiar with the engine or at least around it I looked at some of the parts and I can get a pretty nice kit for 500 from FC P euro and I have a garage I can really take my time doing it but is it really that complicated? Have any of you done the timing chain and if so, how was it? How long did it take you to do it?

I currently have an MK six it’s a manual and I have to do the timing chain on it. It hasn’t failed yet, but it it’s getting close too I found a guy that can do it for 1700

But I’m debating getting something like this instead a MK7 automatic going for $8,000 I have heard that the MK seven doesn’t have the same timing tensioner and chain stretch that the MK six had also it seems like the MK six is the worst when it comes to reliability and the MK six that I have right now has 177k on it I don’t know. How do you guys feel about the MK seven when it comes to the typical things that the MK six has wrong with it
