Reposting as a reply to the previous post cause i can’t reply video in comment. Sorry im a reddit noob. I used another switch to come over to push the button so i can show how it works

The concept of the mechanism

  1. Vegetables fall straight to the ground they are on so they need a different water flow to push them to a lower tile to flow down unlike berry farms

  2. Smooth rock is not going to work when i have fresh water around so i need to cut off water supply for the smooth rock to start working and the crops to dry and drop the produce to the ground so i can flush it

The mechanism itself

  1. The lower valves control fresh water which i keep on most of the time to keep the tiles hydrated

  2. The upper valves control muddy water that serve 2 purpose. Firstly it lets the crops dry up and fall, secondly, it carries the crops off their current tile and pushes them into the middle.

  3. I use glass in between 2 crop rows to create a V shape that forces the crops to all fall to the middle carried by the muddy water.

  4. When all crops are in the middle and i switch back to fresh water, they naturally follow the flow and float down.

The hidden mechanism

I used the switch to build a row of sensors below the tiles extending to the back. At the back i used windows so the sensors can reach both levels at the same time.

With each push of the button, there are only 2 scenarios.

  1. Water Valves are open, Muddy Valves are close

OR

  1. Water Valves are close, Muddy Valves are open

I places the sensor so that they both activate at the same time so i have my aesthetics and convenience all at the same time. the sash windows are staggered going up so everything moves together as can be seen in the later half of the video. I hope this helps! I will try to answer any concerns as best i can.

P.S My friend says i’m a minecraft player that has never played minecraft haha i have no idea what that means but im thinking its a good thing 🤣

I encased the whole contraption in glass windows cause i loved the aesthetics and looking in on all the mechanisms and how it works. I wanna get my kid to come over to my island so i can have her press the wall switch and i can record the mechanisms in action. Pic of the mechanisms in the comments if u wanna build this, it’s built off the idea from a Youtuber called Delvox by the way! Thank you!
