Tried to keep ALL 4 biomes original: WIP - haven’t added decor or flowers etc.. YET

My take on the devs biomes: ALL are level 10, missing lots of recipes. My Pallet Town is a mess and LV 4.

I don’t time travel or cloud share, just use the goggles for some islands.. Just wanted to tidy up, as these were a mess.. Game is so addictive.. all of a sudden it is 01.00 in the morning..

Favourite so far is Rocky Ridges.. 335 hours in..

I'm going to pokejail

I accidentally cask of amontillado'd little piplup, sweet, soft innocent piplup, in that damn cavern under the main plaza in Bleak Beach. Spent a whole hour running around and wondering where he went. Then saw a little speechbubble coming from the ground like the most polite cry for help ever. Only just found out about honey so I don't know if that would have teleported him back to safety. I dug him out and made him his own private swimming pool. Hope he forgives me.

Better arched bridges

It annoyed me how not round the "arched bridges" were, so I figured out a way to make them sloped better. Chaining them (8 per bridge) and adding roof tiles gives a good look. Hopefully this helps give you guys other ideas :)

Cut!

Maybe I’m just dumb but I have 300 hours in this game and I thought you had to hand pick all the veggies 🥲

Turns out you can use cut then suck them all up lol

This game still surprises me.

Tips for those who feel Overwhelmed

I've been seeing a lot of posts about this and wanted to give some tips as someone who has anxiety and also gets easily overwhelmed by open games, but who is still got addicted to Pokopia (150h+)

Most important things:

  1. Finish the game. I understand that while you're playing, the urge to start building and exploring is strong, but when you finish the story you gain abilities that make building and decorating 100x better. Also, do the side missions that the Pokémon give you; some have extra abilities. But take your time and enjoy the story. Come back to this when you finish

  2. Level up your areas to level 8 (preferably 10). Recipes are the basis of construction, and you gain many of them by advancing the area's level. If you feel your level isn't increasing, find more Pokémon. Comfort starts on 0 and can only go up, so it's easier to reach level 10 with 40 Pokémon than with 20. Also, feed your Pokémon. This increases comfort. (I say level 8 because I feel that level 9-10 items are habitat specific and not as important as the blocks you get before) . Edit: Some people got confused with the new pokemon part. Pokemon confort is divided like this: Iffy/Homeless/New pokemon - 0 points. Average: 1 point. Nice: 2 points. Great: 5 points. Awesome: 10 points. You need 160 points for level 10. If you have a pokemon that is in great (5) and make them homeless or iffy, your confort will reduce in 5 points. BUT a new pokemon will not reduce the confort that you alredy have, only increase (going from new/homeless to other level) This post is where I got the values and have a lot of information. Check it out

  3. Create your material/berry/vegetable farms. There are several videos on YouTube about the most useful ones and how to make each one. There is no construction without materials, and they can help a lot in the future. You can make something simple or you can make it thematic (make a trashyard and put your Recycle Pokémon there. Or a workshop for your furnaces and burn Pokémon).

Tips

  1. Choose one area to focus. Your favorite area, where you feel most comfortable. Can't choose? Put the areas on a roulette wheel and let luck decide. My suggestion is NOT to start with Pallet Town. This area is much "cleaner" than the others and the most overwhelming. Think about the theme of the area, what fits there, what makes sense. Which Pokémon fit best in this place?

  2. Choose a Pokémon/evolutionary line. Start with your favorites or those that inspire you. If you can't decide, go to the PC and see which Pokémon are listed as iffy or nice (even if you have already maximized the area). Analyze the Pokémon, think about its theme and personality. Where would this Pokémon like to live? What does it like to do? Do you know any lore about this Pokémon? Go to Serebii.net and see the Pokémon's favorite items, what would you do with those items? Examples: Combee and Vespiquen are bees, so it makes sense to make a garden for them. Fidough and Dachbun are perfect for a bakery. Ampharo's lighthouse and Clefairy's Space Cave.

  3. Look for inspiration on Reddit/YouTube/TikTok/others. Some people don't like it, but there's nothing wrong with starting by copying other people. It's a game. Most of the people you see making incredible decorations and huge buildings came from other games with similar gameplay (Animal Crossing, Minecraft, Dragon Quest Builders) and have years of experience on it. Copy without fear, and over time you'll start modifying what you're copying until you start making your own creations without needing support.

  4. TAKE. YOUR. TIME. You might think "look at all these people doing all these amazing things," but remember that you're just one person. Each person made one, maybe two of these constructions. Maybe you work/study and are seeing images of someone else's game who has more free time. Or who has been playing since Day One. Or is multiple people working in multi-player. Or they are Japanese (they are on a different level). If you can only play 30 minutes a day or only on weekends, that's enough.

This is a game for you to de-stress and live with your Pokémon. Don't ruin the game for yourself by trying to do the impossible, and play the game you want to play.
