I have a 97 ranger with the twin I beam front suspension then I just recently redid and cleaned up. The last thing I have to do is install a new spring bucket on the passenger side, and repair this hole in the frame behind it. But I’d imagine whatever it is would have to come out flush with the frame since the bucket lays pretty flat against it, and it’d need to stay in the same place to maintain suspension geometry. Thank you! Edit: the rest of the truck is extremely clean, so scrapyard is not in the picture, and I know a welder who’d do just about anything for me. So is having a plate welded over this really that far out of the picture?
