So my neighbour male age 60 was treating fungal infection at Nair Hospital at mumbai central.

Today morning arpund 10 i was talking with him like how his treatment is going and all during which he received called from Nair hosp.

I attended call as he was doing something and asked me to attend at that time she told he has his vaccine appointment to which i asked her, what kind of vaccine is this?, she said it is because of whether change due to which people get ill, for that is this vaccine is given.

To which i said but he is getting treatment for fungal infection, to which she got confused and said "oh usle loye tha kya" that reaction made doubt still i continued listening her, then she continued asking that" uncle works in Nair right?" To which i said no he does not work here. Then said actually we are given this vaccine to all doctors and staff here and asked me to send uncle for 2nd vaccine.

(No acknowledment given for 1st vaccine)

Then after discussing with uncle i convinced him not to take any random vaccine without informing anyone, so i called her again and informed the same that uncle will not continue the treatment as he is treating privately now, on saying this she said " He has to come, he has signed the consent" and she said i will call you in 5 mins. Till now not received even after 2 hrs.

So i sent her whats saying that his private doctor wants to know the name of vaccine and for what purpose it was given, inspite of reading the messages she dint replied, in between she was writing something but no msg recieved yet.

Any idea what this could be??

This looks suspicious to me.

I missed to write he also said that they told him they will also collect his blood sample which they will send to abroad.

So this happened with my uncle yesterday on 3rd may 2026.

So my uncle came accros this page on instagram page name: gifting_shop, Instagram ID: gift_shop_all123 which sells silver dinner plates and related stuff as he was looking to buy since long he contacted them and after discussion agreex to pay for a samai/lantern/diya for 1300 which he paid to the QR shared.

Then the person told my uncle that it comes in set of 2 so you need and hence need to pay 1300 more as he already needed to he paid next 1300, now the person named Amit Kumar called him and asked him to pay 2600 whole amount once and the already paid amount(1300 +1300) will be refunded. Reason - they need whole amount screenshot not in parts, so my uncle did that.

Till now amount paid (1300+1300+2600)

Now comes the refund part, my uncle was tricked in words and constant talk over call which made him fall for this trap again now the person on call asked my uncle to add a credit card of him which had an outstanding bill due of 170000 approx, and tricked him paying 8900 which was successfull and said that transaction was failed and asked him to pay again whicb my uncle did.

Later on my uncle came to me still thinking they will return money, but i sensed tbis as soon he said all this and file a cyber complaint he was futher convinced to pay 20000 but i stopped him.

Total loss (1300+1300+2600+8900+8900)

Be aware of such scams specially keep aware of such things to your elder ones in the house and contact.

After long time had this home made Pav Bhaji, loved it.

Assuming here coupons may vary, so Rs 6/- difference is not what i am highlighting.

My view is, if Zomato is taking initiative in food wastage then they should offer the cancelled order at genuine discount say in this case it should charge around 100/- or can simply give that order to rider.

Because many rather often zomato charges a 100% cancellation fees, so if thats the case then zomato is charging first customer 100% cancellation fees and collecting same amount from 2nd (consedering prices in this case)

Again not against their business and all just their remarks stating "help us reduce food wastage" sounds absurd it should be "help us reduce food wastage by paying us twice".
