It's currently managed by a large national estate management company that everyone hates. The residents are looking to become directors of the estate and move to a new management company. In the process, they want to change the Landscape and Ecological Management Plan.

I like the plan as it stands. it's ecologically beneficial, includes low mow areas, mulching, wildflowers etc.

I am just wondering if it's a legal obligation to maintain it or just a suggestion? It was a part of the planning approval process and obviously the original developers had to follow it but do we once we become directors of the estate management company?

My rule tends to be, if the inside lane is empty, use it. if I am in the middle lane I will stay in it if I am closing on the car on the inside lane and I'll reach it in a reasonable time.

So if it's half a mile down the road and I am closing slowly I'll pull in but if I think I'll reach the car on the inside lane and have to slow down because someone is starting to overtake me then I wont.

I want to avoid situations where I am stuck behind a caravan doing 50mph because I pulled in to let someone pass who then proceeded to pass me at 1mph difference.
