battlefield-proven training app

Hi everyone, my name is Oleksandr. I’m an active serviceman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, currently serving in the east of the country during the war with Russia. At the same time, I’m also an IT entrepreneur and startup founder. Over the past few years, together with my team, we’ve been building Drill — a defense/dual-use training platform based on real battlefield experience.
I’d be glad to join the community and connect with people who are passionate about startups, technology, training, and building meaningful products. Right now I’m especially looking for people in the EU who could potentially become partners, advisors, or even co-founders for the EU market expansion of Drill. Would really appreciate being welcomed into the community.

We built a battlefield-proven training app during the war in Ukraine

Hi, my name is Oleksandr. I’m an active serviceman currently fighting in Ukraine as part of a special operations brigade. At the same time, I’m also an IT entrepreneur. Together with my partner — who is also serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, just in a different brigade — we built a military / dual-use app Drill where we share real combat experience and help train civilians using practical knowledge from the battlefield.

Inside the platform we cover:tactical medicine, firearms training,AK-platform carbines,AR-platform systems, handgun fundamentals, nd basic FPV drone operation lessons.

So if you’re interested, I’d be happy to share personal experience and answer questions about what modern warfare actually looks like today.

Looking for a co-founder. Defence startup from Ukraine. 200 k users. Battlefield proven

We’re currently looking for a co-founder and partner to help us enter the U.S. market.

In short: we’re building a dual-use miltech educational platform for firearms owners and anyone interested in modern tactical training. Inside the platform we cover firearms drills, tactical training, tactical medicine, and drone operations.

We already have both:
— a B2C segment for civilian users,
— and a B2B segment for instructors, companies, and organizations.

You can check out the project by searching for “Drill App” in the App Store or Google Play.

Right now, we’re specifically looking for someone who would be interested in joining us as a co-founder and helping grow the product in the U.S. market. The reason is simple — both me and my partner are currently serving and fighting in Ukraine, so we need someone on the ground who can focus on partnerships, networking, growth, and promotion in the States.

Military background or defense-related experience would be a huge plus.

Would you invest in such case?

I’m Alex, founder of the dual-use miltech startup. We build training products around firearms handling, tactical medicine, and FPV drone operations. But actually, this post is not only about the startup itself. The reality is that both me and my co-founder are active military personnel in Ukraine and directly participate in combat operations. And I wanted to ask investors and founders here an honest question. Would you personally be ready to invest in a company where both founders are literally at war and there is a real possibility that one or both of them could be killed?

These are real risks. We understand that. Investors believe in the project, but many are worried about founder risk more than product risk.

So I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts:
— Would you invest in a situation like this?
— How would you structure or reduce these risks?
— What would make you feel safer as an investor?

One idea we’re actively considering is bringing in a co-founder from the US or Europe — ideally someone with military background, strong networking, or defense-tech experience.

So if you know someone who could potentially be valuable for this mission, I’d really appreciate a share.

How can we reduce the potential risks?

Hi, im Alexander, I’m an active serviceman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as an entrepreneur. I am founder of miltech dual-use startup DRILL — about firearms training, tactical medicine, controlling FPV drones. We make good thing, where we combine experience from combat actions from instructors who was directly participating in real combat. Also we is platform where any instructor who want — can place his exercises and earn money together with us.

But now I want to speak not about my startup, but about such problem: me and my partner, co-founder of project — we both is military servicemen who is directly participating in combat actions. And I want to ask you, for example as investors — are you ready to invest in this product, accepting that risk, that we both, me and my partner, we is located in Ukraine, and really can happen such thing that I and him will die. This is real risks, I understand them. Investors believe in our project, but they worry that they can easily lose founders.

Would you invest in such case? And maybe you can advise, how to make less this risks? One of variants — we is looking for co-founder in America or in Europe, who has military experience and good networking.

So if you know such people who can be useful for us — I will be very grateful if you share🫡

need an advise, how to level these risks. i will not promote

I am Alex, and im the founder of the miltech dual use startup DRILL about fire training, tactical medicine, and FPV drone control. But now we are not talking about my startup, but about such a problem that my partner and I, the founder of the project, are both military personnel who take direct part in combat in Ukraine. I want to ask you, as, for example, investors, whether you would be ready to invest in this product, taking the risk that both my partner and I are in Ukraine, and in reality it could happen that both I and he will die. And these are really risks, I understand them, investors believe in our project, but they are worried that they can easily lose the founders. Would you invest in such a case, and in general, maybe you can advise how to level these risks? One option is, we are looking for a co-founder in America or Europe, someone with military experience and good networking. Therefore, if you know someone who could be useful to us, I would be very grateful if you share.

Hi, my name is Oleksandr. I’m an active-duty officer in a Ukrainian special operations unit, leading a psychological support service for combat operations. At the same time, I’m also a serial entrepreneur — before the war, I launched several digital projects and even had a successful exit.

During the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we launched our latest startup: a dual-use defense education platform. It’s designed for both military and civilian users, featuring courses and practical training in tactical medicine, tactical preparation, drones, military skills, and safe, professional firearms training. https://appdrills.com/

We built the MVP during the war itself and grew the platform to more than 200,000 users.

If you’re interested in what it’s like to build a company under missile strikes, uncertainty, mobilisation, combat stress, and constant adaptation — I’d be happy to share the experience.

Hello, my name is Oleksandr, I'm from Ukraine, and we launched a cool startup here with exercises, training, courses in tactical medicine, fire training, tactical training, as well as elements with FPV drones. We have a unique course, patents, filmed this whole story together with real fighters who take an active part in combat operations, that is, we share combat experience, as well as our Battlefield Proof project, that is, we use it on the battlefield.

We already have more than 200 thousand users in Europe and Ukraine. And now we are thinking about how to enter the American market. Therefore, I want to consult with the community, because we see great potential, and, perhaps, someone is interested in cooperation, write and ask questions, because I can tell you how fun it is to create a startup in war conditions))

One more, I am an active military serviceman, I serve in one of the special forces brigades with the rank of major, I am also an IT entrepreneur, I was before that, before I went to war, and by the way, I try to use all my knowledge in real combat conditions.

Could you please advise how to handle a situation where a group moderator blocked me and deleted my post, claiming it violated the group’s rules?

https://preview.redd.it/j845qjzi3ozg1.png?width=724&format=png&auto=webp&s=e00beb8fea18d1203eb0a2d96f21bd5c5cf7ffe9

When I pointed out that my post did not violate any rules and that their actions seemed arbitrary and beyond their authority, they simply blocked me, and now I have no way to contact them.

What is the best way to handle such a situation, and what would you recommend?
