Almost 5 month old still sleeps chest to chest for all sleep day and night.. anyone else?

I won’t go into allll the details but for the first two months of baby girls life we tried everything to try and get her to sleep in her bassinet / alone but it never worked. So since month 2 I have been chest to chest co sleeping and we are still doing this at almost 5 months.

Everyone said it was just that she wants held, it’s the fourth trimester etc etc. But I really think she just wants to tummy sleep as she sleeps on my partner no bother aswell (he stays awake) so I don’t think it matters who it is, I think it’s the position.

I’m EBF and have tried c curl but she will fall asleep on her side but wake back up as soon as she falls back onto her back. She is a healthy thriving girl so can’t find any reason to not like sleeping on her back.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did you ever put baby down to sleep on tummy? (I know this is not advised).

My baby can roll both ways now too!!

How long does your 4 month old take to feed back to sleep for night feeds?

Up until a few weeks ago my baby girl fed back into a deep sleep relatively quickly. Now I can be awake 45 mins/1 hour with each night feed waiting for her to get into a deep sleep before I can transfer her (she currently co sleeps chest to chest with me but still needs to be in a deep sleep for me to transfer her back to my chest successfully)

Intrigued as to how long you are up for with night feeds with a baby this age and whether you co sleep or not?

Baby girl doesn’t like side lie nursing!

I’m soo tired! 😓

4 months into exclusively breastfeeding and I’m still a bit clueless when to offer both sides or not lol..

In the earlier weeks one side was usually enough because of my supply.

Since things have regulated baby feeds super fast now during the day. The thing is she seems content after one side but then I think oh I should offer her the other side and she always then takes that side too. Sometimes I offer both, sometimes not, she seems content either way usually so I never know what to do lol. Her hunger cues are very hard to read so it’s a bit confusing.

Also if baby does seem hungry again soon after a feed do you put back on the last side fed from or switch?

Just intrigued to hear what others do with a baby of this age thanks

With her bedtime feed, my very alert 4 month old doesn’t fall asleep with this feed and needs bounced on yoga ball. Anyone else in a similar situation? I thought BFing was meant to be a superpower to feed to sleep!!

Since around month 3 my baby needs to feed from both sides to get into deep sleep with night feeds. She feeds 3-4 hourly but I’m up an hour or more each time.

Anyone else in similar situation?

Her daytime feeds are super short in comparison!!

I’ve been exclusively chest sleeping with my 4 month old for the last 2 months after trying and failing to get her to sleep in her bassinet for the first 2 months and making myself ill with sleep deprivation.

As of today she can roll back to tummy (and has been doing it constantly all day lol) and occasionally rolls tummy to back.

Do I need to change anything with chest sleep now that she can roll? She’s never rolled off me or anything but she is perhaps getting a bit uncomfy at times.

She doesn’t seem to like c-curl co sleeping next to me. I think she wants to be a tummy sleeper.

I’m unsure whether to try her in her own bed again soon… has anyone been in similar situation with chest sleeping then independent sleep?
