Why do I cry when I get angry?

Hi, as title. Sometimes when I've had a fight with someone, I get super angry that I'm being treated like that, and I can't say anything in response. But then, I get that feeling in my throat and my eyes feel hot, like I'm about to cry. I'm not sad, just extremely frustrated, and then I feel stupid for crying. So, why does this happen?

Let's write a crackfic!

Let’s write a crackfic together! Start with one sentence, then the next person continues, and we’ll see how ridiculous it gets. Anything goes — crossovers, out-of-character behavior, chaos, absurd AUs. As long as it's humorous, it works!

Questioning whether or not I'm asexual

Hi, as title. I'm questioning whether or not I'm ace, and I guess some input would be nice?

Reasons why I think I might not be ace:

— I'm not sex-repulsed and do feel some arousal at certain fanfics. Not sure if this is something I'd want to engage in, maybe about 50/50.

— I can tell when someone is conventionally attractive.

— I sometimes think that it might be nice to have a partner, albeit rarely.

— I'm fairly young.

Reasons why I think I might be ace:

— I can tell when someone is attractive, but that doesn't lead to sexual fantasies. Mostly, I get consumed with how good-looking they are, and I imagine hugging them, etc., — in other words, I imagine more platonic vs romantic/sexual scenarios.

— I don't think my ideal future includes a partner. Yes, I experience moments of thinking that a partner might be nice, but when I imagine my ideal life, I don't imagine a partner.

— I don't want children.

— I've had a "crush" before, but more in the sense of wanting a platonic relationship.

Anyway, I guess I'd appreciate any of your thoughts. Thanks!

SW recs with cuddle pollen?

Hi, I know this request for recs is a long shot, but I just read an amazing Obi-Wan & Anakin fic that has the trope of cuddle pollen; it's like sex pollen but platonic. Is there a chance that any of you know similar fics with this premise? Would love to read them. Thanks!

Any books featuring Ahsoka and Anakin?

Hi, as title! I love these two (I've just watched episode five of Ahsoka lol), and was wondering if there's any canon novels featuring them? I've already read EK Johnston's Ahsoka. Thanks!

When it comes to writing fic, everyone has their style. Are you an outliner, planning every scene in advance? A pantser, writing by the seat of your pants and seeing where the story goes? Or do you have some other method entirely? Tell us about it!

Hi, as title! I'm looking for Obi-Wan & Anakin fics where, ideally, Anakin is the one hurt (but either is perfect). Please no obikin; no hate to people who write that, just not my cup of tea :)

As title! I decided to splurge and buy some more Star Wars books, plus I've read more on my library app. If anyone's interested, these are my thoughts. Curious to know what you think!

Phasma — 7/10. The storyline was interesting, but I didn't really like the split narrative with Vi and Cardinal + Phasma. I think most SW novels generally do a good job with split narratives, but I did not enjoy this one; it felt way too abrupt. That said, I loved Vi. However, I'm glad I read it from the library instead of buying it.

Galaxy's Edge: Black Spire — 8/10. It was a bit slow at the start, but it was very fun after that. Again, more Vi, which is amazing (plus, she's an aroace character, which I find a welcome departure from the norm). My version had a short story at the back, which felt a little random; almost like a teaser for the next book, but obviously, there is no next book.

Bloodline — 8/10. I read this after reading Resistance Reborn, which is amazing, so it was cool to see Ransolm Casterfo and Yendor again. Also, it was a great plot; I liked it a lot better than Leia, Princess of Alderaan.

Canto Bight — 6/10. A cool collection of short stories — I loved the Canto Bight scenes in TLJ — but unfortunately, I could not get into the writing style. It felt far too formal and dry; not engaging at all, which is a rather miraculous feat for a Star Wars book.

Attack of the Clones (novelization) — 7/10. I definitely prefer the movie to the book. It read more so like a novelization of an OT film rather than one of the ST novelizations; which is fine, just not a style I particular care for. Some parts felt a bit ... stiff? Overly wordy? Something about it didn't click for me.

I'm thinking about reading Dark Disciple and Master & Apprentice next. I'd like to hear your thoughts on both books that I'd read and will read (and should read next)!
