All, just wanted to update you all here on my RMA experience.
It was very positive, I must say, I am actually delighted with the overall service.
I have uploaded the repair report, there was one thing on it I wanted to know what it actually was, under "Components Replaced" "MYLAR" - anyone know what that is or could be exactly?
Also, I have shown the before and after images of the self inflicted, stupid damage that had me send it off to begin with.
Just a note, I do have the 3 year extended warranty - so was lucky to have that also.

Lets see how this goes...
I have extended warranty on this laptop that expires Sep next year. So to note, specified within the details of the warranty, it stipulates that "Accidental Damage" is indeed covered!
What happened:
Well, I was putting the bottom cover back on and mixed up some screws and ended up creating pimples on the front of it.
Its not really an issue but if I paid for the warranty and they will repair, sure why not send it in?
Hoping to have it next week, will post an update once I have it back!
Posting to get your opinions on how you think it will go, will Asus stand over it or will they play up and fart about - take your bets now?
