As far as we know, the Venture Bros takes place throughout 2000s. The Rusty Venture Show ran for at least 200 epsiodes during the 1960s-1970s.
How is the show still relevant enough for Doc Venture to think that running a day camp banking on the popularity of the Rusty Venture show would be a viable money making scheme? Granted, Rusty is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but a still.
I buy there were die hard fans like Dermitt's mom, and those orphans that got trapped in the missile silo. Even Dr Mrs the Monarch was an avid fan. But they were fans in the 1970s, 1990s at the latest.
Even if the Rusty Venture Show was the best animated series ever made, I dont buy the show would be relevant at all in the new millennium. With the exception of cult followers like St Cloud and Billy.
BUT.
What if, like Scooby Doo, the Rusty Venture Show has never not been releasing new media?
Its in character for Rusty to sell the rights to the IP for quick cash and royalties.
Thinking about this. I'd really want to watch something like "What's New Rusty-Doo?"
What's everyone's thoughts on this?
