How to break the thinking loop

Hey

Can we exchange some tips on what works well for breaking thinking loops? This way too familiar state of mind when your brain keeps spinning.

For many years ppl have been telling me to do journaling. Never worked - couldn’t even imagine picking up a nice tidy pink notebook 📒 and writing things nicely and cutely in lines. (Is that just me?)

A few days ago I learned this concept of “thinking loop” (funny enough took so many years and thanks to someone in this group for helping me out) and starting thinking - if this is just a loop, there must be a way to break it.

So I tried sth new. Instead of a nice pink notebook 📒 (screw social expectations) I found my kids’ leftovers from arts and crafts and a random pencil from under the table, and started writing in a diagonal in my doctor-like handwriting in semi sentences. It worked like a charm.

I’m now the calmest most ever dzen person. You probably can’t see it from the style message above but that is me being calm 🤣

So, here comes a question - what helps you break the thinking loop? Not for a minute, but truly to have a closure and process it well.

Has anyone figured how to be founder with AuDHD?

Curious if anyone here managed to found a business (even a small business). What’s your system to get through the early stages? How did you make it work?

I’m very good in managing people (have a task - dispatch it - forget about it and focus on something else, check in in a week. Works like a charm).

As a solo founder it is super difficult because you don’t have corporate resources to tap into.

Has anyone figured out a system / way of working to make it work?

Perception of time

I’m new to this group and thought I’d ask.

I’ve always had a very different perception of time than others: 2 weeks feel to me like at least 2-5 months and 3 hours like a few days. I have to always always slow down to be at the same pace with the world and don’t expect too much from others.

I’ve never met anyone like that and am just curious might it be some sort of manifestation of audhd in women? Has anyone experiences the same?

Masking, corporate jobs and building own business

Is there anyone here in full time senior corporate roles that trigger big emotions and require a lot of masking to fit proper communication standards?

What was the most effective technique you learned to become more effective at work?

Any effective mental reframes? How are you decompressing on weekends instead of thinking how to navigate stakeholder landscapes to help business move in the right direction?

To switch off, I ended up building edTech business after hours and on weekends (thanks Claude) and am now completely burned out while still having zero revenues.

This doesn’t seem right but I’m not sure how to untangle.

Thanks in advance!

Now with the AI boom, I’d expect growth in robotics over the next 5-15 years.
So many parents are asking what should their kids study?
I can’t stop thinking that robotics the most obvious answer.
I wonder why don’t we see it becoming a part of the traditional school curriculum. I heard some high schools might be slowly introducing it. Is it actually happening?

Why don’t we see more of it for primary school- kids do love Lego at that age and building things so feels like such a natural activity for many of them.

What am I missing here? Or is it coming we just need to give the system time to catch up?

AI drives innovation in robotics every day. And yet there is a lot to be figured out and we are yet to see robots on the streets and at home. I’m also certain quite a lot will change in manufacturing and services.

Prediction: We will see a massive robotics boom in the next decade.

What I dont understand though is why we don’t see many more robotics camps and kids activities popping up (at least in the UK - is it the same in other countries?). Sounds like an obvious answer - so much anxiety on what to study and such an obvious answer.

What am I missing?
