Do they let your current Walmart store know?

Son turns 21 coming early January. Called CS to report a changed address and asked how does the end of the wage garnish transpire. I'm told that I've not need to file anything, that it will end and the paperwork will be sent to my job and processed and I'll get a refund check since I've never owed arrears. How true is this?
