Hello dancers! I’m currently in high school and I’m curious to know how does one start a dance career. I really enjoy commercial dance and I hopefully want opportunities like being on tour with artists or even music videos. Think of abracadabra that Parris Goebel choreographed for Lady Gaga’s music video I thrive for those big groups and long hours at dance but the thing is I simply do not know where to start.
I recently been looking into dance intensives that I can possibly auditioning for but I’m not totally sure which ones would be beneficial to my goal. It’s also quite hard when you live in a small town in Virginia so you don’t get a lot of opportunities around here. I also heard about getting in to agencies but unfortunately because of my constant moving I haven’t been in a dance studio/company in a long while and I don’t have any recent videos to add to my dance reel. Please let me know what I should do
