Just came across this and thought it might be helpful for some here. It basically goes through the worst colors for each subseason.

Got placed in the bright or light spring category. Curious to see what others think of this season on me. I thought I might be a bright winter going into this. She said that the winter/summer colors added more grey into my face and dark circles where as warm colors were more harmonious. I’m generally happy with these colors, just looking for more opinions :) thanks! For some context btw- I do have a bit of redness in my face from rosacea.
Title: What colour “breaks” your season rules but somehow still works on you?
I’m curious about the colours people wear that technically “shouldn’t” suit them… but consistently get compliments, feel right, or somehow work anyway.
Not:
“a slightly off neutral.”
I mean:
- Bright Winters loving dusty olive
- Soft Summers pulling off rich dark red
- Autumns looking amazing in icy blue
- Springs wearing black better than expected
What’s your season?
What’s the “wrong” colour?
And WHY do you think it works?
Texture? Makeup? Hair? Styling? Specific shade? Pattern? Small dose vs full outfit?
I feel like the exceptions are more interesting than the rules.
For instance: I am light summer but can pull off deep dark cherry red textured knit I own. It kind of blows my brain.
NMIP, my natural color is a bit lighter than this
NMIP. Was typed as winter when younger but think muted something now?
Assuming my theories and other people are correct about me being a soft summer, I picked up a shirt that I believe fits my season. Is this a match?
I always assumed I was cool toned because I'm so pale. I didn't realize how much my makeup was washing me out until I saw this before and after. I'm getting rid of all my cool toned mauve lippies and replacing them with corals! I'm open to any other suggestions!
I’ve struggled to figure out what season I am. I don't even know if I have cool, warm or neutral undertones as opinions can diverge a lot depending on the photo lighting. Here are photos with the right white balance and lighting that I edited with different colors.
What do you think guys ? Thanks a lot !

I’ve struggled to figure out what season I am. I am naturally blonde (a very sandy, colour. Like a 7A is how I would describe it) I know i have pink undertones so I lean towards anything cool. My hair is normally a dark cool brown/black colour and my eyebrows are dyed darker as well
TIA 😊

EDIT: Thank you all so much! I’m going to see if I can get some drapings to compare between spring and summer IRL since everyone seems to be pretty divided between the two!
Several color analysts insist that blondes cannot be autumns because they lack depth, which I completely understand. But what about people with “bronde” hair that sits around a 6/7 value? Are they automatically disqualified from being an autumn by that reasoning or would they have enough depth in their hair color to still be considered?

I feel that soft summery makes me look pale, but deep wintery is too heavy on me. What is your take?
I’m really struggling finding if I am a soft/true autumn or a warm/true spring. I just pulled as many different clothes out of my closet with colors. I feel like some of these look very good on me while the other ones look not as good. The only thing that confuses me is, I love the baby doll pink on me, but the light blues tend to make me look wash out. Also, the neutral green looks terrible on me so I’m wondering if I am not neutral?
Help! NMIP
First is Revlon Toast of New York. Second is Revlon Whiskey Business. Taken seconds apart in the same spot and all other makeup/clothing remained the same. Thank you!

All I know is I’m low contrast. Torn between a spring or a cool and/or soft summer.
I keep getting so many mixed answers.
Some say they like Plum Baby the best, and others actually liked Coral Berry. So i also added one that is right in between (Rose Velvet)
Please help me decide which season I am and what looks best. I am wanting to update my wardrobe especially for this summer. Gold or silver jewelry? Thanks

First slide is warm and second slide is cool:)
From my experience soft looks a bit unflattering irl and makes my skin look patchy.
NMIP.
I was told I likely fall somewhere between bright spring and warm autumn… with the deep seasons in the middle
New color is photo 1, and precious color is photo 2.
