My friend and I were a few drinks in last night, both single, both exhausted by the apps. We started talking about why nothing ever seems to work. Then she said "honestly I'd let Hinge see my entire Netflix history if it meant no more guys who ghost after two messages." I laughed but she kept going. Spotify Wrapped. Amazon orders. Even her Uber history. At first I thought she was crazy. But then I actually thought about it. If no other users saw it, just the algorithm, and it actually helped you find someone compatible... maybe it's not that wild? We debated it for an hour. Now I'm curious what other women think. What would you share? Where's your line?

My friend said something last night that's been stuck in my head all day
So me and my friend were hanging out last night, both single, both tired of the apps, you know how it goes. We'd had a few drinks and started talking about why dating apps never seem to work. And then she said something like "honestly I'd let Hinge see my entire Netflix history if it meant I'd stop matching with guys who ghost after two messages." I laughed at first but then she kept going. Spotify Wrapped. Amazon orders. Even her Uber history so they'd know she's not a "let's meet halfway" kind of girl. I was like okay that's a lot. But then I actually thought about it and... I don't know. If it actually worked? If the app could really find you people you'd vibe with? Maybe it's not that crazy. We kept debating it for like an hour. She's convinced everyone would do it if it meant better matches. I'm not so sure. So now I'm throwing it out here. What would you actually let a dating app know about you if no one else saw it, just the algorithm? Where's your line?
If a dating app could access stuff about you to find better matches (only the algorithm sees it, not other users, never shown on your profile), what would you be okay sharing?
We came up with a few obvious ones like Spotify Wrapped or Netflix history. But I'm curious what else people would actually consider. What's the wildest thing you'd let an app see if it actually worked?
