According to Islam, every person is born upon fitrah , a natural inclination toward truth and belief in one God (tawhid). However, this does not mean a person is automatically a Muslim from birth.

I mention this because Shaytan seeks to lead people away from this natural state through deception and misguidance.

For this reason, by default, he is considered an enemy to all of humanity, since he works against the very nature with which humans are created.

> 30:30

>

> So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah . That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.

> "Every child is born on Fitrah (natural disposition), then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian.” [Sahih Bukhari & Muslim]

Are there any other reasons to make him evil to all humanity?

And what would happen if I made Iblis an ally ?

So before I begin, I want to clarify something.

I didn't talk about this topic because I want everyone to follow Iblis and agree with every point I said. You are free to work or worship any deity.

I just want to express my love for Iblis and defend him because people misunderstand him, and the more I read about him, the more I learn a bit about myself even though I haven't worked with him yet.

Also, I'm not Sufi and claim that Iblis is the true lover of God (divine love) because all their interpretations have no strong source, if any, to support their claims.

Days ago I created a thread to discuss with Muslims to learn more about Iblis, and ngl, I learnt a lot from them, and they gave me some sources that claim Iblis is the true enemy to mankind, and with my respectful research, I will prove that Iblis is a necessary adversary for self-growth. Let's begin.

1- Iblis doesn't target or oppose all humans; he only seeks people that follow the straight path and are obedient to Allah, and after I ask Muslims for verification, they agree with me in a bad way. They say that Iblis targets only people that are obedient to Allah because he wants to follow him in hell.

But according to my left-hand path interpretations, he only targets them to awaken their godhood, independence, and leave the path of submission and slavery of the false light.

Qur’an 7:16–17:

“He said, ‘For leaving me to stray I will lie in ambush for them on Your Straight Path. I will approach them from their front, their back, their right, their left, and then You will find most of them ungrateful.’”

Qur’an 7:18: Allah then responds in anger, saying: “Get out of Paradise! You are disgraced and rejected! I will certainly fill up Hell with you and your followers all together.”

2- And the Quran mentions a lot that people who follow and agree with Iblis's idea are his friends; I don't know why people forget about that.

7.27 Jalal - Al-Jalalayn Quran

O Children of Adam! Let not Satan tempt you lead you astray that is do not follow him lest you fall into temptation as he caused your parents to go forth from the Garden by tempting them stripping yanzi‘u is a circumstantial qualifier them of their garments to manifest to them their shameful parts. Surely he Satan sees you he and his tribe his army from where you do not see them — because of their ethereal bodies or their being colourless. We have made the devils friends helpers and companions of those who do not believe.

Surah Al-Isra Ayat 27 (17:27 Quran)

Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.

4:76 Quran

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.

> 6:121 Quran

And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him].

3- So what are the reasons that people see him as anti-human?It is because of these two verses found in the Qur'an.

(1)17:53 Quran

And tell My servants to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan induces [dissension] among them. Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy.

(2)14. Ibrahim, Verse 22

And the satan will say when the matter is concluded: “God promised you the promise of truth; and I promised you, but I betrayed you. And I had not over you any authority except to call you — and you responded to me; so blame not me, but blame yourselves. I cannot aid you, and you cannot aid me. I deny your ascribing to me a partnership before; the wrongdoers: for them is a painful punishment.”

(1*)Allah tells the Prophet to instruct the believers (not to unbelievers) to speak in the best, kindest, and most respectful way, because Shaytan uses bad speech to create conflict.

The sentence we want to focus on is (Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy.)

People may interpret Shaytan is enemy to all mankind

But the way I see it is that Shaytan (Iblis) is a necessary enemy for self-growth and rejects God's chains and limitations; he wants you to become a predator (rebel) rather than the prey , and by doing that you becomes a threat to the structure of people who believe in Allah.

(2*) People may interpret it that Iblis will forsake his followers on the day of judgement, but hear me out!

What I'm about to say is something people forget about, and I got confused why they didn't interpret it this way.

The reason why Iblis forsook his followers is the last and best lesson you will get from life: be self-reliant.

of course, We could share or relate to each other's experiences, but the greatest and best power doesn't come from help outside forces or Iblis himself but comes from yourself and pushing your boundaries to achieve illumination inside you and follow the independent path to be a lone wolf among the sheep, and don't rely on anyone, even Iblis, to save you.

4-

3:7 Quran

It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah . But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.

In this verse, it explains that the Quran isn't always clear and is elusive, and there's room for many interpretations. Only Allah knows the true meaning.

The last thing I want to say is they call him the ultimate failure of ego; I call it awakening.

I want to thank Iblis for making me open my eyes and see and not be easily manipulated or programmed and get decisive from Allah's words.

You may agree or disagree, but thanks for reading.

I would like to ask Muslims specifically for their perspective on my interpretation. I’m interested in understanding how this would be viewed from an Islamic point of view.

How does Islam approach these two questions? Would my interpretation be considered incorrect, incomplete, or something worth reflecting on?

1- I’m wondering whether Iblis is portrayed more as an adversary of those who remain obedient to Allah and follow His “straight path.”

In Qur’an 7:16–17: “He said, ‘For leaving me to stray I will lie in ambush for them on Your Straight Path.

This makes me think that Iblis is not simply opposing humanity in general, but is specifically targeting those who follow Allah’s path, isn’t?

2- There are mystical interpretations where Iblis is viewed more sympathetically, with his refusal framed as an expression of extreme devotion to Allah, rooted in tawhid or divine love.

However, the Qur’anic verses themselves emphasize a different theme.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:34: “And [mention] when We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate before Adam’; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.”

Surah Al-A’raf 7:12: “[Allah] said, ‘What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?’ [Iblis] said, ‘I am better than him. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.’”

Surah Sad 38:76: “He said, ‘I am better than him. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.’”

So the repeated emphasis is on arrogance, superiority, and refusal, not devotion.

So my question is: can the Sufi reading be represented as a poetic interpretation?

I would like to ask Muslims specifically for their perspective on my interpretation. I’m interested in understanding how this would be viewed from an Islamic point of view.

How does Islam approach these two questions? Would my interpretation be considered incorrect, incomplete, or something worth reflecting on?

1- I’m wondering whether Iblis is portrayed more as an adversary of those who remain obedient to Allah and follow His “straight path.”

In Qur’an 7:16–17: “He said, ‘For leaving me to stray I will lie in ambush for them on Your Straight Path.

So my question is: can the Sufi reading be represented as a poetic or symbolic interpretation?

I sometimes think about what really happens after death. Is it heaven and hell, reincarnation, nothingness, or something beyond what we can imagine? The uncertainty scares me a little, but maybe that’s why humans have created so many beliefs and stories around death, because it’s the one mystery none of us can avoid.

I know some people would say, “Why be afraid of something you can’t prevent?” And I understand that point. But honestly, I like being alive. I want to stay here, enjoy life, experience more, and grow as a person. Death itself is already scary, but the thought of getting old, leaving everything behind, and possibly facing something like hell makes it feel even heavier.

At the same time, I know worrying about death won’t stop it. If anything, it can take away from the life I’m still living. Maybe the best thing I can do is focus on becoming someone I respect while I’m here.

What do you think? How do you personally deal with thoughts like this?

Edit: I have changed my mind.

When the time comes, I would not see it as something cruel, frightening, or cold. I would see it as something quiet and familiar, something I could walk toward without fear.

I would meet death with open arms, not to run from life, but to accept the truth of what waits at the end of it.

I would hug death like an old friend, hold it close, and gladly embrace the peace it bring.

I’m curious about how Iblis is viewed in left-hand path, demon-related, or occult spaces.

Since Iblis comes from Islamic tradition, he has a specific religious background. He is often associated with refusal, pride, rebellion, evil, and separation from Allah. At the same time, I’ve seen some people interpret him as a powerful symbol of rebellion, or as a being who refused to place humanity above himself.

In many Western occult or left-hand path spaces, Lucifer and Satan are sometimes interpreted as symbols of freedom, knowledge, power, and other ideas. I find that interesting because Satan is also traditionally seen as a tempter who leads people away from God, yet some modern paths understand him very differently.

Do people interpret Iblis in a similar way, or does his Islamic context make him different?

I’m also curious about his refusal to bow to Adam. Do you see that refusal as logical from his perspective, or as foolishness for standing alone against Allah?

I’ve also seen terms like “Iblisism” or “Iblisnism,” almost like Luciferianism or Satanism. Are these actual established paths, or just modern labels?

For people who study or work with Iblis, how do you approach him without ignoring his original religious context?

I’m asking from curiosity and trying to understand the difference between religious tradition, personal gnosis, and modern interpretation.

Edit: I forgot to mention something important about Iblis.

In Islam, Iblis is understood as a jinn with free will, not an angel compelled to obey. He knew the command to bow to Adam and gave a clear reason for refusing: he believed he was superior because he was created from fire while Adam was created from clay.

I’ve also seen left-hand path interpretations where Iblis is framed as consciously refusing submission. In that reading, after refusing to bow to Adam, he also refuses to bow before Allah again, rejects Allah’s “straight path,” and chooses his own path instead.

I’m new to studying demon-related paths, and I’m trying to understand why people choose demonolatry, Luciferianism, Satanism, or similar traditions.

To be honest, I’m skeptical of a lot of the material I see online. Many sources feel modern, personal, based mostly on personal experiences, or written by humans claiming authority without much proof. Some communities also say things like “there is no wrong way,” which makes it hard for me to know what is serious and what is just personal belief or roleplay.

So I wanted to ask respectfully:

Why did you personally choose this path?

What personal experiences, if any, convinced you that the beings, practices, or worldview were real or meaningful?

How do you separate trustworthy sources from fake ones?

Do you rely more on old texts, personal experience, teachers, spirits, results, or community tradition?

Have you ever changed your mind about a source, author, or practice you once trusted?

I’m not asking to insult anyone. I’m trying to understand how people on this path think about truth, authority, experience, and deception.
