Dehumidifier turns right back on shortly after turning off

I just got this Midea MAD20C1ZWS dehumidifier and it works well I've had to empty the tank twice in 24 hours. I've noticed it reads about 10% less humidity than both my HVAC thermostat and a separate hygrometer I have (for example, my thermostat shows 50% humidity but the dehumidifier shows 40%). But the main issue is that once it hits the target humidity and shuts off, it skyrockets back up immediately then it turns back on again and runs until it's back down to the target again. It's like the sensor is affected by the fan inside the unit and once it's off it realizes the correct humidity and comes back on again. Is this normal for dehumidifiers or should I contact Midea for repair? I was expecting once it hit the target it would shut off and stay off for a while, not a few minutes...

Helping my evaporator drain better

I live in the devil's buttcrack southeastern USA where the humidity is high in warmer months. In the spring/fall when it's running AC during the day and heat at night, the humidity skyrockets when the heat first comes on, before going back down. Also, anytime I run it on just fan mode, the humidity goes up. I suspected it was because my evaporator unit was not levelled correctly when they installed it last May and it's holding water in the pan. As a test, I stuck a shop-vac onto the drain and sucked out a bunch of water, so I know it's not draining until it gets full enough to reach the drain. Just for clarification, the drain does put out almost a steady drip when the AC is running and the humidity does drop as expected.

I was thinking about adding some shims under one side to give it a slight tilt, but I'm afraid of putting strain on the copper freon line that goes out to the condenser unit. Would it hurt to do this? If so, is there anything else I can do to help it drain better? The evaporator is in the crawlspace of that helps...

Long story short - my thermostat is somewhat behind my 65in Element Xumo TV, so the heat radiating off the TV itself skews the thermostat temp reading by around 2-4F. It's unfeasible to move the thermostat, and can't really rearrange the room either. So I need some way to move the warm air from behind the TV, preferably one that goes on/off with the TV, or possibly temp controlled.

I tried having just a fan blowing across the back of the TV but it was loud and caused too much dust. Any other ideas?
