Sending links very last minute after forgetting me
I have been seeing my therapist for almost 2 years now. We have switched to online due to schedule changes, on both parts.
A few weeks ago she forgot the appointment. We talked through it and I think we managed to repair it pretty well even though I have abandonment issues and felt like it confirmed she was going to let me down.
She used to send me the link a day before, and since she forgot me it’s been shorter and shorter. Today it was 4 minutes before the time scheduled and it drove me really anxious that she’d forget me again (she said I had to be ready that it might happen again).
It really switched my mood, I shut down, didn’t feel like I wanted to be there and couldn’t put words on what was happening to me. Felt like I lost my time and money over a situation that was very avoidable. Sure she was there, and on time, but it didn’t feel right.
Yes sure I will talk to her about this (if I feel like seeing her again) but am I being overly triggered or unreasonable to think that sending me the link so close to the hour - knowing it happened not so long ago that she did forget me - is inconsiderate?
