Hey everyone, I have a 1000/1000 fiber connection and get 940 Mbps on ethernet in every other room, but only 95 Mbps in my bedroom.

I've checked the router, swapped ports, tried different cables, and tested my PC's network card (showing 1.0 Gbps connection). Everything looks fine.

I ended up opening the wall jack and the wires inside look a bit off - some don't seem to be seated properly in the contacts.

The jack was pre-installed when I moved in and I haven't touched it until now.

The apartment came with the jack pre-installed. I have had full speeds before, but at some point it stopped working properly.

Any ideas what's going on and how to fix it? Thanks!

Edit: To clarify - this is a brand new apartment and the keystone jack came pre-installed. I have had full speeds before, but at some point it stopped working properly. I haven’t touched the jack until today when I started troubleshooting.

Hey everyone, I have a 1000/1000 fiber connection and getting 940 Mbps on ethernet in other rooms, but only 95 Mbps in my bedroom.

After troubleshooting I traced it to the keystone jack in my bedroom wall. The wires inside the jack don’t seem to be seated properly in the contacts.

I’ve tried pressing the wires down but can’t get them to seat correctly.

Should I just replace the whole keystone? If so, what should I buy that’s compatible? The wall plate is a standard European style.

Thanks!
