Does anyone know the prerequisites for UBC dental from other schools in Canada?

Hi! I’m making this post because i’m honestly so tired of all the emails i’ve been sending and i’m so anxious fr😭 i’m about to go into my first year at the university of calgary for chemistry, and I was doing research and found that I need credits in English, biochemistry, and biology in order to apply to dental school at ubc when the time comes. the thing is, since i’m not going to school at ubc, the course descriptions are different than the courses i am able to take here. this may be a stupid question so please let me know if it is, but does anyone know if the requirements are just basic first year courses? other than the courses meant for non science majors that are basically just high school science. i’m honestly just really nervous, and the dream is ubc dental school, so if i found out i had completed the wrong biology courses or something when i apply in a few years i’d probably cry 😭

I just recently learned about rejection sensitivity as a symptom or part of ADHD, and I’m wondering if there’s any way to actually help it? I’m not even sure if I have it to be honest, I just know I totally break down when rejected in any form, such as getting an answer wrong in class. The reason I’m asking is because I am going into university, and then after that, ideally dental school, and I know that throughout the process of learning I’ll inevitably be met with lots of rejection in terms of suggestions or corrections from colleagues, professors, etc. I fear that when I present these heightened emotions when confronted with problems that some people deem small, people will think that I’m weak or not prepared for the field. Again, I’m not sure if this is rejection sensitivity or not but recently I posted on reddit saying I was nervous about making new friends in university, and when I was told that I needed to “grow up,” I cried, and then got scared that I seem immature when I break down in this situations. I’m not looking for a diagnosis here, more so just similar experiences? (for reference I do have ADHD, just in case that wasn’t clear!)

hello!! i’m looking for some sunscreen recommendations for my really dry and sensitive skin! i’ve tried a few in the past, mainly drugstore, so brands such as Aveeno, Neutrogena, etc, as well as a popular Korean brand, skin 1004 i believe? anyways, with the drugstore sunscreen, i have never used one that has not irritated my skin. with some i’ll be okay for a few days and then my skin will start burning, and with others it occurs within a minute. when i tried the skin 1004 sunscreen, my skin did not feel irritated at all, but it left my skin extremely dry, like the point that it was peeling (gross i know!!) for reference i currently use the la roche posay cleanser, anua azaelic acid (only on acne prone areas), torriden hydrating serum, and torriden solid in ceramide cream. oh! also, i have previously talked to my doctor about the dry skin issue and nothing was really done about it, so i’m just left to product search! i’m honestly considering giving up on drugstore sunscreens, as even the ones marketed for sensitive skin cause a burning sensation. does anyone have any recommendations or has anyone experienced similar issues?

i’m about to be a chem first year and just built my schedule! although it would be ideal for me to have a short break in between classes due to my commute being long, a few people have said it’ll get tiring or stressful. should i keep the 10 minute breaks or change my classes around? also if anyone has prof recommendations for these courses that would be super appreciated!

edit: the main location for symphonic band is Rozsa Centre so I’d like to focus on the proximity between there and ENA 201.

Hi! I’m an incoming first year student at UofC, and I was wondering the proximity between these three rooms? I’m a prospective chemistry major so physics is a required class, but I was looking at taking MUPF 211 as well! The only thing is, symphonic band would end at 1:45, and physics would start at 2. I’ve toured the school but I’m not sure where these buildings are, so what is the likelihood I could make it to physics in 15 minutes? I’m aiming to avoid a 4pm physics class, which is why I’m in this situation in the first place. Is anyone familiar with these locations and would be able to let me know? Thanks!
