Codex tokens are being nerfed next month. What local model should I pair Codex with for menial tasks like GitHub stuff and small code edits? I have a 5090, 64gb ddr5, 9950x3d. Even worth running local models with this hardware? Any really worth using that isn’t a gimmick?

Codex is nerfing tokens next month and I was hoping to use a local model to take up some of the more menial and simple tasks and letting codex do the heavy planning and large data base work.

I asked Chat and it said there’s really not much going on that can cleanly integrate. Anyone say otherwise?

Received a clearly fake card from a seller. Seller was good then went rogue and sold tons of fake cards within a short time period. Their review section on TCG is crazy.

I’ve gotten refunds before near instantly for just reporting a card not sent.

I emailed TCG for refund as it was a clear fake. I sent proof of images and even offered them video. I’ve bought and sold hundreds of cards on TCG, so I didn’t think it’d be a big deal.

They sad they won’t give refund unless I return card and they do an entire investigation. On top of the, zero credit for loss of time and opportunity. I could have bought the cards elsewhere AND avoided fakes.

Probably gonna stop using tcgplayer after this.

I booked a $80.09 hotel in January. Around a week ago, it was canceled BY the hotel. Booking.com said they'd cover a certain amount at a new hotel, that hotel was also full. It was around $350. I called booking.com, told them this, and they said book next cheapest and we'll cover it.

Next cheapest hotel was $500. I called the hotel, made sure they had space, and called booking.com once more to double check. The SUPERVISOR let me know, through email and audio call I recorded (they record them too), that it would be no problem. I asked multiple times, and they said yes, we'll cover price difference and it gets sent to bank, not travel credits.

I called the hotel again, booked, and it went well.

Finally, called booking.com to get the price difference paid out and it's been HELL. Dozens of hours on the phone, dozens of lies, dozens of hang ups. Even after going out of my way to get proof and confirmation BEFORE making the new reservation, they keep telling me they can't cover it. The supervisors were very very snarky and smug when I said I had proof. After I showed proof, they STILL didn't help.

Instead of helping me, they said they were going to start an investigation on the audio call in which the employee supervisor said they'd cover the difference. Rather than just honoring their word (which they gave to me MULTIPLE times), they'd rather start an investigation. I asked the supervisor to send me proof of this happening and he sent me an email (I made sure to not let him hang up until he sent email, he wanted to just cut the call).

I called today and the new agents said there is zero investigation and ZERO repayment showing. Not even the old one for the previous hotel is there. All my reservations also seem to have gone poof from their system and the only way they can access them is through confirmation numbers and pins, otherwise they can't be seen.

It has been hell. Lies on top of lies, holds on top of holds. I've repeated the same story to dozens of agents multiple times at this point.

Has anyone had similar experiences? Just avoid this company? Kinda wanting to do a small claims suit as I was lied to and would NOT have gotten a hotel (just slept in car) if it wasn't for their promises (recorded in various formats).

Edit 1: Called 2 supervisors again. They were adamant about not giving the full amount. I forwarded them the email and they said because it wasn't in their system, it can't be used (like WTF?). I mentioned them they audio log (which they said that had recorded, maybe cuz they thought I was lying) and they asked for it. I played it out loud and they said audio evidence doesn't work. So emails don't work, and neither do audio logs.

I had Codex go through my email and compile a professional report with ALL the time stamps and emails categorized very nicely. The report shows all evidences in order, why they matter, all the turn downs, lies, etc... And has a nice evidence folder with everything labeled neatly in order. It's ready for small claims court. I sent them one last email. If they don't give me the full refund, I'm taking them to court.

The Extend-a-Suites UTEP near El Paso ended up canceling a room last night. I booked it for $80 back in January for the BTS concert on May 2nd. I did it through booking.com.

They sent me a message asking ME to cancel it, but I said na, I’m not canceling it on my side. If you need to, do it on your side and give me accommodations.

They canceled and I called them. The lady that picked up told me there’s nothing they can do and literally told me to bring A TENT. I asked for a supervisor and I was put on multiple fake holds, no responses back for nearly an hour.

I called booking.com and they said the hotel did have a room, identical to what I had, but it was now nearly $1000. They cut my contract just to put the room back on the market for over 10x the price. I called the hotel about it and the lady laughed her ass off and put me on another fake hold. Insanely unprofessional.

Neither the hotel nor booking.com will give me any help. Booking.com is recommending hotels deeper in Mexico now.

Do I not have any rights here? Do I just gotta suck it up?

Edit: Hotel trolled me. Made fun of me. Fuck them. Booking.com, after 6 hours of calls, said they’d cover the difference at a $500 room (farther away sadly). I am kinda glad I went third party as it seems this scummy hotel would have done the same to me regardless if it was direct booking or not. Fuck them, especially the lady at the phone that told me to get a tent. Tf. For sure gonna review bomb them and report them.

Edit 2: Booking.com said they’d cover the difference for a $500 hotel, albeit 5 miles farther, but nicer. Hotel spit in my face. My conclusion after much research is book direct if larger, more reputable hotel. Book third party if smaller, less reliable. There’s NO WAY in hell the hotel would have helped even if I booked direct. Reviewing and reporting them to proper authorities for price gauging. Maybe not illegal, but super, super scummy. I will be making an update post to see if booking.com actually pays me back the difference. If so, I’d keep recommending them for smaller, lower star hotels during large events. All I needed was a place to sleep before a drive back home.

Edit 3: Also, fuck all those “standing up” for the hotels and third parties. Reminds me of the dumb ass republicans making 30k a year but protecting Elon musk and Trump LOL. Suck a dick.

I planned for this trip to be walkable almost everywhere. I’ve escalated with booking.com and they’re offering me a hotel 12 miles away and $25 compensation. That won’t even pay for an Uber ride.

The scummy hotel canceled my $80 room and instantly added it back at $1000.

Am I screwed?

Edit: I’ve called 3 times. All have said sucks to suck. No compensation. No new room. Nothing. This is fucking ridiculous. None of the agent will escalate me to a supervisor.

Edit 2: Called the hotel and they told me me to fuck off as well. They literally told me to bring a tent. You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.
