In my country, I can get the 9950X for $420, while the Core Ultra 7 270k plus is about $50 cheaper.
My Specs/Use Case:
• Workflow: Heavy Java Coding/Compiling & Video Editing.
• Gaming: FC25 and League (2K @ 144Hz).
• Current Gear: 360mm AIO and 1200W ATX 3.0 PSU already on hand.
I'm leaning toward the 9950X for the 16 full performance cores and AM5 socket longevity, but the Intel price is tempting.
Is the $50 extra for the 9950X worth it for the upgrade path and dev performance, or should I just save the money and go Intel?
Thoughts?

Hey everyone,
Had a heart-stopping moment today while building. I dropped my CPU into the AM5 socket and managed to snap/bend two pins. After looking at a pinout map, the specific pins affected are:
• MBA_DATA[31]
• MAA_DATA[27]
From what I can tell, these are critical memory data lines for both channels. I haven't tried to power it on yet because I’m worried about a short.
Has anyone had success running an AM5 board with broken memory data pins, or is a professional socket replacement my only path forward? I'm assuming since these aren't VSS/Power pins, there is zero redundancy here.
Appreciate any advice or "F"s in the comments.
