Did my first ever spell jar!

I've finally created my spell jar for academic success!
I feel oddly energised, but perhaps it's simply my excitement.

I did notice a few things during my spell that I wanted clarification on,

I started with a circle of black salt around me and my workspace in complete darkness, then lit 2 candles, one green and one white and carved "success" into the green one. In the white one, I burnt rosemary. (These were both those candles you get in glass cups.) I noticed the flames were really low and kept guttering out, but when I lit a match from the flames, they would be very high, wondering if it had something to do with the spell?
I also tried to burn cinnamon, which didn't work as intended; however, I still let it sit and poured the wax from both candles to seal the jar after I felt like I had spent enough time, and the flames died out on their own slowly.

After the spell ended, I erased the salt circle and set the jar on my desk.
Any witches with criticism and advice?

Baby's first spell jar

Hi everyone! I was looking for help with my first spell jar? I'm working on a success spell jar, for academic success and luck (mainly to help pass and prep for exams lolol).

After some feedback, this is what I'm adding: Is this a good concoction?

  • Rosemary (+rosemary oil)
  • Rice (prosperity in academics)
  • Amethyst dust (for clarity and calm)
  • Basil
  • Cinnamon
  • Mint
  • Clove
  • A gold earring (to bring in "wealth", aka desired results in this context)
  • A small self made white candle to top it all off (I only have candles in those glass cups, so unless I could use them as is.., do let me know)

Creating a spell jar for success! Advice needed

Hi again,
After research, I saw that success and good luck spell jars can be used to pass exams and get better luck in finding jobs, etc.
I wanted to know if there's a specific size a spell jar should be? Or can it be as small as a vial I could keep hidden easily?
Also, I'm adding:

  • Rosemary (+rosemary oil)
  • Rice Amethyst dust
  • Basil
  • Cinnamon Clove
  • A gold earring
  • A white candle to top it all off (I only have candles in those glass cups, so unless I could use them..)

Is this a good concoction? Any improvements?
And how long would it take to start working give or take

Never formally practiced magick, but able to communicate with spirits to some extent, should I pursue blackmagick?

Hi everyone, I'm a beginner in witchcraft, slowly working to learn black magick, and wanted to clarify some things.
Since a child, I had this ability where I could feel and often talk to different spirits, sort of in my head. I know this because the "thoughts" in my head were not my own, and there would be full-on conversations.

I had this one specific spirit which stuck around for 3-4 years, and we'd communicate like this all the time, the only conditions with this spirit and most others were that:

  1. We had to be alone
  2. I could not directly look in the direction of the spirit in question, only feel them, the way you feel a person standing behind you, you know they are there even if you can't see.

The spirit left after a proper goodbye, the closest I ever got to actually seeing them. It felt like a long dream, even though it lasted 2-5 minutes, and I was fully awake, but when I "woke up", I could see the change in the bedsheet where they had sat, as well as a few other tells.
Since then, I had been able to commune with many passing spirits, all of which, thankfully, were friendly, at worst, sad. My last bonding with a spirit had been a year ago, whom I dubbed "Mother", as they appeared during a very hard yet important time in my life, and kept me awake and comforted with what felt like a touch before vanishing as quietly as they had come.
Most spirits I worked with gave me insight into whatever problems I'd been facing at the time, which manifested as an uncanny ability to know what may happen in the future, like a sixth sense, which has never failed me. Or they give me a "push" in a direction to make a decision that, in the end, helps me.
In recent years, however, my ability to sense spirits has dimmed considerably, and paired with no current ones around me I haven't talked to any, yet it's been almost 6 months, and I feel a strong pull to investigate that's only been growing stronger.

With the help of black magick, would I be able to call the spirits back? And would it strengthen my bond to the unseen without direct slavery involved? If so, how do I start? Are there any precautionary steps I need to take? All input and help are greatly appreciated.

Blessed be!

Firsttime sweetning jar - Advice and help needed

Hi, so I'm new to spell work, and am planning on creating a spell jar to aid me in studying for an exam in a subject. I am studying, but the clarity eludes me no matter how hard I study, and I only have 10 days left. For the jar, I'm using:
Bay leaves
Rosemary Oil
An Amethyst crystal
Sugar
Coffee
A piece of paper from my practice register, with the intention written on it

I would like to know if

  1. Can the "jar" be a small vial or sorts, or does it have to be large?
  2. Can I add my other subjects in the same jar or should I make separate ones?
  3. Am I missing something important?
