Looking for hot days jacket (spring & summer)

Hello,

I am looking for a jacket for riding on hot days. I live in the south of Spain, and the temperatures in summer here usually reach +30ºC / +86ºF easily. Usually, I don't ride when the temperatures are really hot (after midday and afternoon, it is impossible), but sometimes we reach those temps before midday.

I ride a Rebel 500 so my style would be cruiser.

I would use it for:

- 50% city at 50km/h / 30mph (with a maximum of 10 minutes on the highway surrounding the city).

- 30% secondary road at 90km/h / 56mph.

- 20% highway at 120km/h / 74mph.

Currently, I wear a Revit Vigor 2 jacket on hot days. It is very comfortable, breathable, and the mesh is great. However, I am looking for something with a higher CE protection level, like AA or AAA.

I am considering getting a John Doe XTM Motoshirt, which is AAA-rated, for a reasonable price: 199€. Would it be too hot for me to wear?
I would use it in autumn too under my Rhoxks leather jacket, which is AA-rated, for highway routes and with a leather vest for secondary roads. (Should I also look for a AAA-rated jacket for highway riding?)

I read forums and watched a lot of videos and I am still confused so I decided to ask the Reddit Wizard Riders: Should I keep the Revit Vigor 2 jacket, or should I get the John Doe XTM Motoshirt, or do you have another recommendation?

I want to share with you the latest mods I added to my Rebel 500.

I chose the Red Dragon forward controls Advanced, and I am completely in love with them. They are really comfortable and a very good and sturdy product. The treatment from the seller is absolutely great: charming, helpful, caring... Really, one of the best customer service experiences I have had. I contacted the seller because, as you can see, I have Puig engine guards, so the Advanced controls, as their website states, are not compatible with it. However, the seller assured me they were compatible and that he must update the website. So, in case you have any doubts, I encourage you to contact him and ask any questions you may have.

I also got from Red Dragon the handlebar riser and the speedometer adapter. This made my back more straight, and now I can see my speedometer without moving my head, just moving my eyes. The speedometer adapter, though great, makes the speedometer turn a little bit. It's barely noticeable and nothing to make you mad, but I can see it (third to last photo). However I am very happy with it.

These additions improved my comfort because I am 1.89m / 6.2ft tall.

The package arrived quickly, even considering it came from Vietnam to Spain. It was extremely well packed, with foam inside, metal parts very well wrapped in plastic and compartmentalized spaces. There were perfectly differentiated plastic bags with the bolts, nuts, etc. They also provide very detailed PDF instructions and a link to a video installation. 10/10 here. Absolutely recommended.

Now, the two small problems I had and how to easily fix them:

1- (Penultimate photo) The right support bar hit the welding on my Puig engine guard, so it would not be completely held.
The fix: I got 2 M10 washers (they did not hit the welding) and it is now held perfectly. As the welding is a manual process, it may vary from one Puig engine guard to another. Keep that in mind.

2- (Last photo) The bolt that attaches the right support bar to the right peg holder is too short. It does not reach the peg holder.
The fix: We bought a new one that is 1cm longer and 2 nuts to secure it. It is now perfectly and securely attached.

I gave this feedback to the seller, and he will update the settings.

I am also a big fan of Resident Evil, so I asked the dealer where to get the Umbrella Corporation stickers, and I also got the Umbrella tire valve caps. You can see a keychain on the motorcycle as well.

In short, I can't recommend this product and the seller's service enough. It's been great.
