Ellison Institute of Technology

The whole thing looks disingenuous to me. I have concerns about the genuineness of the scholarship program itself but that’s not my main issue here-their sketchy Trump loving billionaire CEO for one, but some are saying he pulled out. Does anyone know what is really happening? He’ll still benefit anyway. Why are we letting American oligarchs establish a presence here and risk foreign interference? In not only the city but potentially the university too. I know they aren’t PART of the university but it’s worrying how much they’re trying to create ties with it. I don’t like how they claim to be revolutionary or investing into the education here when they’re just another pathetic AI promoting group using students they decide will help contribute most towards their aim to achieve it. They don’t seem to contribute to British interests at all let alone the city. Even their scholarships fund already very wealthy kids (of the undergraduates only two are British) who clearly wouldn’t have got their scholarships if not for elite opportunities available to them. So what’s the point of a so called “merit based” scholarship that is basically only open to those kids who will always have great options with basically no account for kids who did not have these opportunities available. They want kids who co author research and publish in journals and kids who win olympiads with acronyms no one outside of the top 1% with crazy pushy parents would have ever heard of in their life. Scholarships for wealthy kids! What I like about UK scholarships is that they actually try to make their criteria just if it’s merit based. Anyway I did say my main issue wasn’t the fund but their funding clearly has strings attached which is basically to further their self interested goal and these poor kids are used as their pawns. How their construction plans were approved I’ll never know. We need to start questioning the motives of these big money companies before allowing them to have such a big influence in our country

Commuting?

Hey, I have an offer for KCL but I don’t know if I should commute or not in first year. What is your experience if you’re a commuter? How is your social life and your situation altogether? Do you feel comfortable living with your family still? Does anyone know if it’s possible to get accommodation later in the year if it doesn’t initially work out? I don’t want to enter a contract I cannot back out of later on, and it’s really expensive. Thank you so much!

What do I do after just 2/5 offers

LSE MwE rejection 19.50 pm today GCSES 99999888887 Predicted A*A*AA extenuating circumstances. On a gap year so please don’t say to take a gap year as this was my only shot. I feel so stupid for only getting two offers. I was rejected from Camb Imperial LSE I got Bath and KCL though but a big of me feels like I just wasted my time and let my family down.

I know KCL and Bath aren’t terrible but can you guys please be realistic and help me out with which one I should firm. Are there any other good maths or joint honours maths courses available in clearing? Thank you

What do we think Arthur and Merlin’s big three signs are? Also for other characters like Gwen and Morgana!!! Just based off their archetypes and personalities. Feel free to share any other placements or aspects you think they might have. I’ve always thought of Arthur as a Leo sun Cap moon leo rising but Merlin is a bit more complicated-I am not sure about the exactness but I’ve always seen him as an intense mix of Scorpio and Aquarius.
