Update on the situation.

We have torn it apart and replaced everything we can as of the moment. The steering rack had a crack 3 inches long and about 1/8 of a inch wide on it. The cast aluminum knuckle was bent on the higher rod mount, and even the inner fender was badly damaged.

I got a door with the same paint code to replace the driver side door, but still need to get a fender and inner fender. Along with rocker clips and maybe even a passenger door.

Overall its proceeding to plan, I have about 2k out of 3k left without including the mini tort I still need to get. However body pulling will take a lot of money.

I bought my HP Omen Max 16 during the sale in July last year, with a 5090/275HX and OLED screen. It seems I was lucky for a while with my GPU not frying itself in a couple a weeks. However It has now died a month ago. After they replaced the AC adapter for no reason even though I said it provided the correct voltage and the USB-C charging also wasn't working. They send packing material for me to ship it back.

After a week of repairs (very fast), they sent the laptop back to me. They apparently replaced the mainboard and did "extensive testing." There was thermal putty everywhere, covering everything. The top panel, the keyboard, part of the screen, and on the bottom cover. I booted it up only for me to find out that the GPU is cooked after trying to change into DGPU mode (where is the extensive testing???) After testing countless drivers I opened it up to find that the GPU die is chipped in a corner and there is a hairline crack further back not visible to the camera. Not to mention any micro fractures that are under them.

Now, just to mention, I've been on call for 3-4 hours for all of these issues, which is insane. But they don't have the gall to let me print a label/form and use the old packaging material to ship it faster. They want me to waste an entire week letting them ship what I already have just to kill my time.

Where does this leave me? Honestly fucking cooked. I've wasted 60 bucks in shipping for this laptop, and a month of my time. I still have no working laptop to use for education and my on the go deliverables. Also guess what, I have about two weeks before my vacation trip so that's just awesome.

Since this is my second RMA, I hope they can make the third pos laptop work. Maybe I can just make them refund me or do a chargeback after so long. Really, I'm set on a refund or trying to sell to EBay so I can go buy myself a laptop that has their main software stuffed with FUCKING ads. Thanks for reading my rant, I'll make it a goal to make sure nobody buys from this shity ass brand.
