Had vandaag een discussie met een collega (hier in Zwitserland). Ik had, als goede Vlaming, een doos Leonidas meegebracht. Hij zei "Ah dat is zoals Lindt!" waarop ik zei: "Nee, Lindt is zoals Côte d'Or: goede kwaliteit maar toch supermarktchocolade." Dat vond hij een affront. Hij geloofde ook niet dat Leonidas handgemaakt kon zijn... Ik vind eigenlijk de website van Leonidas ook zeer vaag daarover.

Weet iemand hoe dat zit? Rollen die pralinen gewoon en masse van een rolband?

Das isch eigetlech d Froog.

Bin eifach chli überrascht. Bin no nid so lang i dem Sub. I ha am Aafang denkt dass de Titel meint man söll Satire vo Bünzlis mache. Aber wenn i da so chli les, sind d Meinige scho ernschthaft und - jawohl - nach minem Gefühl eher "bünzlig". Isch au okay, i finds eigetlich spannendi Theme (meischtens). Und es zeigt, dass es nid eifach ei einzigi "Bünzli Meinig" git.

Ich wött eifach gern wüsse ob d Idee isch, dass me schriibt was me denkt.

Also säget doch mal: Satiregruppe oder normali Diskussionsgruppe?

P.S. I schriib normalerwiis nie Schwyzerdüütsch (fick mi wege dem gern aa), hoffe isch gliich irgendwie leserlich

My partner and I live in Basel. I work in Baselland (Münchenstein) and he in Zurich. He goes to work by train, I take the bike, occasionally the car.

Long term we're considering buying a house in nearby France. It's more accessible financially and we'd have a garden. French is my second language and I've lived in France before, would absolutely love going back.

Has anyone moved to France from Basel and how has it (positively and negatively) affected your quality of life? Is commuting "deeper" into Switzerland (Zurich) feasible from Alsace?

Not looking for tax/administrative advice, more practical and daily life impacts

My partner and I currently live in Basel inner city. I work in the Basel area (Münchenstein), my partner in Zurich. I bike to work, he trains.

As a longer-term plan, we've considered moving across the border into France. French is my second language, he has some knowledge of it.

Is it worth it? I would love to live in France (have lived there before) and owning property is much more accessible. We'd have a house with a garden which in Switzerland...is out of reach for us financially.

But commuting to Zurich from France may be complicated. The TERs into Basel are often delayed, making changing into an IC to Zurich challenging. My partner is very set on a smooth commute as it's a long way and he works a lot. For me, it's less important as I'd probably bike or occasionally drive.

Also we experience good quality of life here in the city. The places in Alsace we're thinking about are suburban or even countryside. This is a different setup. Not necessarily worse, just different.

Has anyone done this and what changes (positive or negative) have you experienced?
