If in the Villeneuve's Dune movies they had used the term "Jihad" instead of saying "Holy War" American and other western conservatives would probably been cryng and saying that Dune promotes, heroicizes and romanticizes islamic extremism.

Is there some kind of "expected dress code" in the pagan community?

Disclaimer: I am extremely new to this, so please forgive me if you find this offensive. Most pagans I ever saw looks like some kind of hippies, goths, metal fans, and alt-people and subculture people, etc. Obviously I don't consider pagan neo-nazis and their styles and customs as referents. I dont want to generalize, but I also kinda would be kinda surprised if a pagan looks like a preppy kid, coquette or a Ned Flanders-type suburban dad.

Why did Tolkien dislike Dune? Was he just a racist christian-supremacist and disliekd that a middle-eastern inspired civilization was the protagonist faction? Or is it deeper, like the themes about ambigous morality?
