Im looking to move and im either deciding between this apartment in park slope (1st pic and it’s 40min commute) or upper west side (2nd pic and 15 min commute. For reference, I need to be at work at 7:45am but generally don’t mind having to get up much earlier if I needed.
I really am so torn as the park slope one (1st pic) is sooo charming and such a steal and is very close to prospect park and is just such a lovely neighborhood. Cons are it’s far from work, a bit far from rest of my friends and not as busy as a neighborhood more families I’d say so not much going on at night and stuff which is fine for me. I have one really good friend who lives close by. The park it’s close to is my favorite park in city and it’s a 2min walk to there although could really only go there in summer and weekends bc I work so much weekdays. Brooklyn more my vibe and feel cooler people live around here is vibe with
Second apartment also super nice (not the same charm maybe) but love the modern mid century modern vibe and it’s so cozy I feel and also great area close to central park and good restaurants, easy commute to work, closer to friends, more lively neighborhood. Lots of storage in this apartment and it feels a bit cozier which I like
