Hey People of Greenpoint!

My name is Rob and I am currently taking on students for guitar, bass, and songwriting! You may have recently seen a similar post from my younger brother Matt offering drum lessons. He picked up a lot of students in a short amount of time by posting here and has already created a consistent schedule of satisfied students, so thought I'd put myself out there!

I’m a teacher in the NYC DOE working with medically homebound students of all ages and have been professionally playing, writing, and recording music in the city since 2017.

My approach would be focused on teaching you how to listen to your favorite players and songwriters so you can apply their techniques to your own playing and start writing your own music quickly. Whether you want to master the fundamentals on bass, learn your favorite riffs or new interesting chords on guitar, learn how to learn songs and chords quickly by ear, and/or finally finish that song you’ve been working on, I can help! Songs I've written have amassed tens of thousands of streams, and I've performed headlining shows at NYC's esteemed clubs such as The Bowery Ballroom, Gramercy Theater, Mercury Lounge, and more!

My fee is $40 an hour and location is flexible—I can provide lessons in my cozy rehearsal space in Greenpoint, or I can travel to your home. Happy to do a pre-lesson meet up or phone call to talk about your goals and see if I can help get you where you want to be!

Title says it all ! I live by Greenwood Cemetery and need help moving an empty husky tool chest out of my apartment. Its a larger one thats kinda akward to handle. It weighs about 85 lbs. I cant do it alone and need some to help. I cant imagine it taking more than 20 mins.

Over 3 years in our brownstone apartment we’ve spotted around a dozen ticks. I’ve loosely correlated that they appear in our bathroom and another room that both have a ceiling vent. They are typically full grown. I think we see some seasonal fluctuation, as we’ve noticed two in the last week. We have a baby human so I’m now even more concerned than before. Does anyone else notice ticks inside of their park slope apartments? What gives?

I’m wondering if it’s because of possible fire 🔥 code violations related to the “entry pods” and a person getting trapped in one of the pods?

There is no explanation, just a note on the drawn gate to go to the Van Brunt branch instead.
