Bhubaneswar’s online personality needs psychiatric evaluation
It’s a Wednesday morning and r/Bhubaneswar is still somehow discussing poetry, burnout, attachment issues and makeout spots in the same breath.
Half the subreddit wants ghazals, philosophy, long drives and “something real.”
The other half:
“bro safe place near KIIT?”
Meanwhile there’s definitely a jamming session happening near Bindusagar with three guitars, one cajón and at least two people pretending they’re over someone because they discovered Cigarettes After Sex and read half of Dostoevsky once.
Nobody here says anything directly. People flirt through playlists, Instagram notes and eye contact prolonged just enough to create problems.

Also very funny how the city publicly behaves like holding hands near Esplanade is a constitutional violation while anonymously maintaining an entirely different internet personality after midnight.
And despite constantly saying “this city is too small,” everyone still wants recommendations for quiet cafés where they can go stare into the middle distance dramatically.
Bhubaneswar isn’t repressed.
It’s emotionally constipated with cultural ambitions.
