India's average height is being shown to be decreased or is being barely increasing in latest reports..

Whereas China and South Korea are now listed as average height to to be 5'9..

Also a report in south korea concluded that average height for 10th graders were 173cm and 161.3 cm for men and women respectively..

Then why do people over here claiming it should be atleast 5'9-5'10 or so.. This is even above average for Americans, chinese, amd korean. And you know how much we lack in nutrition. There are also people claiming their community people are tall and what so but they don't go on actual figures and spit random figures.

If you see the comments of any reddit post on dating, living etc in Korea you will definitely notice height there...

The people are so obsessed with heights that the parents spend a lot on HGH and Height surgeries..

As a short man it feels horrible and terrifying to go in such country.

There are people claiming now the average has increased upto 5'10 and even 10th graders averages 5'8 and what so.

Also girls inflate height so much that it really feels insecure.

The study told that average height of men has decreased by 1.1cm meaning the new generation men are getting shorter or being the same around 5'5-5'6.

And for female around 5-5'1. I know this was done a decade ago but you know avg height for a country like india doesn't increase drastically..

This has been done by a reputed organization doing surveys from a long time. Taking sample size in lakhs and overall indian population.

What you think is this true?

I have seen many metropolitan city girls obsessed with heights... They want 6ft boys which are around 2% in india even if they are 5' smth...

I'm being seeing many posts inflating the average for genz men to be 5'9-5'10 atleast...

Some of them even feel short at 6ft...

But when I tried to Search avg on Google various sources tell the avg doesn't increase that drastically it is around 5'6 for young generation men.
